Network recording path.

Hi.

I’m new to LibreELEC (measured in hours!) and have setup a system on my intel nuc with tvheadend… with help.

All seems to work ok, however I would like to change the tv recording path to a external hard drive plugged into my windows PC

Currently when I setup a record in the TVHeadhend web interface the guide just shows an exclamation mark… Not even sure how to look for a log as to why.

From my searching I assume it’s a permissions issue and have tried to work my way through using the wikis but just not getting anywhere.

Could someone provide some simple (very simple ) steps… I must be missing a step either on the TVheadend, windows or kodi side.

is the external hard drive on a network share?

did you tried this Mounting network shares [LibreELEC.wiki] ?

It might be easier to plug an external drive into your nuc. So, from the main menu, go to videos, files, add movies, then browse to the external drive..

root, media, that should get you to the usb

so from the above path, go to your Tvh webpage

Configuration,, digital video recorder profiles, recording. on the right you should see recording system path, type in /root/media/(usb perhaps sdb 1? not really sure

Thanks all. I just plugged hard drive into nuc rather than into windows PC. It was then as easy as bubblegum57 suggested to change the recording location. Done.
