Freeze/Stutter at Ends of Clips (Hardware Acceleration)

I'm having issues with picture freezing during the last fews seconds of most/all all of my movies.

(Audio keeps playing fine under frozen picture).

If I turn off "Allow Hardware Acceleration - amcodec", the picture plays all the way through without freezing, but now has glitches throughout and a generally degraded image quality.

Is there a team or forum area that specializes in hardware acceleration (i.e. amcodec)?

There is some issue with linux-amlogic kernel. In Kodi 18 this is solved but I don't think it's easy possible in Kodi 17.
