is there an easy way to get the SHA-256 ?

Before LE 9.0 , only the short commit hash was used .

But now there's also a SHA-256.

eg :

PKG_NAME="kodi"

PKG_VERSION="af4a548"

PKG_SHA256="17a03bf2e636bb5d4fca08e778147a631edf6a46bd73072473046199cd869d06"

PKG_ARCH="any"

PKG_LICENSE="GPL"

PKG_SOURCE_DIR="xbmc-$PKG_VERSION*"

how to get the sha-256?

does i have to download the gz file to get it?

Sorry if this is all been answered but i've been unsuccessful with the "search"

Easiest way is to comment out PKG_SHA256 and then run

Code

ARCH=AAA PROJECT=XXX DEVICE=YYY ./scripts/get PACKAGENAME

It'll then download the package file, calculate the SHA256 and print it. Then update PKG_SHA256 with what you saw on the console.

at windows HashTab is quite easy (right click -> hash)

at linux sha256sum /your/path/file

for testing proposes you can out comment the #PKG_SHA256
