Use overlay filesystem

  • Hi,

since Linux Kernel supported overlay filesystem I think it will be a better solution to use this instead of the different home/config partition under /var. You don't have to patch each package for a new config folder or different dynamic folder like the /var partition.
It is also easier to add new packages/tools by your own.

Think about and thanks in advance.

suppose LE starts using this, does this have any influence on the 'overlay' section in my PXE+NFS boot configuration?
