sync playback of live strams on several devices

    Dear all!

    I have libreelec running on 3 raspberry devices in my home. I run tvheadend as client for one central tvheadend server connected to satellite receivers.

    I observed that when I tune the libreelec clients to the same radio or TV station, the playback on all libreelec clients will not be in sync, there will be up to ~0,5 - 1 seconds out of sync, which is strange when you want to play the same radio station in several rooms.

    Is there a way to synchronise playback (of live TV or live Radio or any other live stream) across several devices? I guess it has to do with different buffering, probably due to different ethernet network latency?

    You can look at the Snapcast Client/Server for audio streams (in our add-on repo). There uses one device as the master and two others as slave devices to the master rather than attempting to keep three independent streams in sync. There is no equivalent for video.
