Which NAS for LibreELEC with Raspberry Pi.

Hi there,

I tried to use my Time Capsule with the current Libreelec version on a Raspberry Pi with no luck. So I`m searching for a NAS that works Out-of-the-Box. No "you just have put a line of code here .... and there... and it will work".

I`m looking for a NAS with one or two Slots. Any recommendation?

why do you dont look for a little synology or qnap nas for your use case?

in deed, but...

some seem to experience problems with "some" synology, buffalo,... NAS.

especially the different "kodi" versions 8.x. seem to be "problematic",

so I would prefer an exact model for usage with 8.x

There is always the option to build an OpenMediaVaul, Unraid or FreeNAS self build NAS that would be much more powerful and basically the same price but if you search for an ready to use solution with great software and good support you are pretty welcome at Synology.

TimeCapsule can be used with current/latest LE but it uses Apple's own (not Samba) SMB server which doesn't play nice with Kodi/smbclient. The workaround is to locally mount the remote SMB shares via systemd. See SMB with Libreelec 8.2 and TimeCapsule not working for an example systemd mount file.
