Libreelec 8.23 generic pycryptodome missing

    I was using libreelec 8.23 on my Intel NUC. I tried to install the Netflix App, but it complained that pycryptodome was missing. I already looked around and some people stated that it was a wrong error and pycryptodome is present in system. I looked in the kodi storage and for it under /usr/share/ but it is really not present on my system.

    Netflix isn't supported by Kodi 17.6 in LibreELEC 8.2.3, and for that reason Pycryptodome is not installed.

    Netflix needs Kodi 18, and Pycrptodome is now pre-installed in LE 9.0 alpha builds, where Kodi 18a1 does indeed falsely claim that Pycryptodome is not installed - this is a Kodi defect that you can ignore.
