Odroid C2 10bit h265 1080p playable?

    I'm currently using Raspberry Pi2 and I'm wondering if I would be able to play video file with following spec on Odroid C2:

    RPi2 will not cope with 1080p HEVC content but an RPi3 (especially with a little overclock) is normally okay. Any S905 (or newer) device like the C2 has native hardware decode for HEVC so it's not an issue.

    Well, I know S905 has HW decoder, but at the same time I remember how my old Core i3 laptop wasn't able to accelerate h264 with more than 3 ref frames, resulting in dropped frames, so I just wanted to make sure if I swap RPi2b for C2 I won'd end up still not being able to play 1080p h265.

    BTW, is there any other alternative better than C2 I should consider (cheap, low power consumption, HDMI-CEC with KODI)?

    as it stated before S905 soc is capable to play Hevc content, not only in 1080P but up to 4k@60fps without frames drop. if you need a device for kodi and not for some computer project go and buy a device with S905X or S905D because S905 is already outdated. read this thread Choosing a S9XX guide if you want to know which one is suitable for you.
