VNC DISPMANX 8.1.102 doesn't work on Kodi 17.6

    Hi everybody, I have a problem never solved in this forum: I can't connect via VNC on my Raspberry Pi 3 running LibreELEC 8.2.2.


    My Raspberry:

    • v3 Model B
    • LibreELEC: 8.2.2
    • Kodi: 17.6
    • Add-on: VNC DISPMANX 8.1.102

    I'm trying to connect via VNC Viewer RealVNC App by Tablet/Smartphone (the same works fine on Raspbian) and it flashes every second becoming impossible to use. I'm using 5900 port as default on Add-On Configuration and on my App.

    Everything that I found on Youtube/Google/ThisForum goes through:

    1. Bad WLAN connection: I'm on my private wi-fi;(
    2. Use an Add-On from OpenELEC Unofficial repo: It had already migrated to LibreELEC official repo (VNC DISPMANX seems to be the best choice);(

    Why didn't I continue by "Which VNC Addon can I use?" thread? It was recommended by the forum that I started a new one (too old and either without solution).

    The 8.1.102 add-on was built for LE 8.0 which has compile differences to LE 8.2 and the 8.2.x series of add-ons. You need to remove and reinstall it or update it to the 8.2.x version. This *should* happen automatically unless the add-on auto-update feature in Kodi is disabled.

    I'm very grateful to you for helping me, but unfortunately it remains the same...;( My add-on is now on 8.2.102, I've just reinstalled but maybe it was already on this version and I didn't realized (shame on me^^).

    I continue receiving an error from my VNC App as it is attempting a reconnection every second. if I have the same problem on Raspbian, I would suspect that I could have a network or hardware problem.
