Internet Access Error

  • Help! I have a CuBox i4Pro and I use the Wireless network to connect to my Wireless Router that serves my house. This system sits next to my desktop that also uses wireless to connect to the same Router. The problem is that my Kodi system connects to the Router and is assigned an address: 192.168.0.1 and when I try to rip a CD I get a CDDB Open Socket error. I tried to ping an Internet Address (Yahoo -> 23.235.206.116) by address and it can't be reached. I enabled the Kodi Wireless Access Point and I connected my Desktop to it. The Kodi system can ping the Desktop and the Desktop can ping the Kodi system but neither system can ping an external Internet address. It would appear that the Gateway on the Kodi system is not working?

    What do I do now?

I am using 8.2.2 but I had the same issue with 8.2.1

    Thanks!

  • try to give it another IP address. Probably try some static one

I doubt that Kodi should have a .1 adress. Normally (in the case you didn't change anything) it should be a 192.168.0.0/24 Network. The Gateway (your router) should (except you changed that) have 192.168.0.1 as its IP. So Kodi should get something between 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.254

So I'm really wondering why your Kodi machine gets that IP address. Hence why I suggest du use something different which you should set manually.
