How to change language to Chinese?

Dear all,

I use kszaq 's LibreELEC repo GitHub - kszaq/LibreELEC.tv: 'Just enough OS' for Kodi to build my own image. Everything is OK.But when I goto Setting->interface->regional->language, and change the language to Chinese, the menu is not correct, you can find the picture here.

So does is supported? Or maybe some more configrations are needed?

You'll need an additional font IIRC. Try this one: dejavu-sans-ttf-2.35.zip

put it in the media/Fonts folder. You may have to restart LibreELEC now.

Then change the GUI font in Settings/Interface/Skin/Fonts.

Chinese characters (simplified and complex) are available by selecting "Arial based" fonts in the skin settings. I used the Confluence skin, but I think the same works for Estuary. I have never needed to install or build with any additional font. I use English menus, but many of my music files have Chinese / Taiwanese tags and are displayed correctly. (Disclaimer - I don't use kszaq's builds, just regular LE builds on my HTPC).

I changed the font to Arial, and Chinese display is OK. Thanks a lot.
