1080p Help

Hi all,

I have recently updated from an openELEC with Isengard to LibreElec and Krypton. Previously my system would handle 1080p videos with no problem but now they are very choppy. I tested a 720p video and it is prefect. When I looked I noticed that the hardware decoding VDPAU would be active for 720p and inactive for 1080p. Have I missed something silly?

This is running on and R3610 (specs here https://www.cnet.com/products/acer-…b-250-gb/specs/)

Thanks for your reply. I can post a log (thanks for the link as to how) but before I do what is the problem with hevc? Can this be fixed or would it require a hardware change?

Ahh I see! They are often the videos I struggling with. Thanks for your help. I don’t suppose there is a low cost system that can play and 1080p video without acceleration?

That kit you suggested reminded my if a computer I rescued from a bin a few years ago. I was moving at the time and so it got forgotten about in the loft.

I tested it and it works really well. Better than the revo. I can’t believe I have had it for so long without realising its potential.
