LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-8.0.1 date and time issue

Hi All,

I had installed Libreelec 8,0.1 on raspberry pi 3 all addons works perfectly except youtube.

the reason of non working Youtube is date and time, i have set correct time zone, it seems that it is not syncing date time from network causing youtube to crash .

But if i connect kodi with mobile hot-spot then youtube work perfectly. it seems that ISP had blocked some port causing this issue.

Can anyone help me to know on which port should ask to open to my ISP ?

Normally NTP services use port 123.

That shouldn't be blocked since all devices update the date/time via port 123.

Edit:

Verify that You have NTP server(s) defined in setiings: https://wiki.libreelec.tv/libreelec_settings?s[]=ntp#tab__network

You can always try these (verify regional settings!):

thanks for reply.

i have checked port 123 it closed on both ISP. Port 123 is closed on both ?

is there any other solution ?

AFAIK the NTP servers only communicates via port 123...

So talking to Your ISP for alternatives might be an option.

Two suggestions if there is no "network" solution to the stupid ISP:

#1. Get an RTC board for the pi so that date/time is remembered over reboots and doesn't have to depend on NTP updates.

#2. Try setting the router IP as an NTP source; as some/many routers will respond to the request. As long as the router's internal clock is fairly accurate on current time the pi will get a time/date that's close enough for YouTube etc. to work and you have a workaround. You can also get an NTP server app for other machines in the house Win/Linux with a persistent (if not accurate) clock to pull the same trick.
