HDMI from laptop stops Libreelec load

  • Libreelec works fine on the primary display of the laptop. But it fails if I have an HDMI plugged into HDMI port going to a Denon receiver.

Primary display (laptop screen) is black. HDMI display shows this error:

    Code
[FAILED] Failed to start Xorg Server
See 'systemct1 status xorg.service' for details
[DEPEND] Dependency failed for Fluxbox Window Manager

    LibreELEC release: Generic.x86_64-8.1.2
    Laptop Model: Acer V5-571p

    Intel HD 3000 Graphics

    AVR: Denon AVR-591

    Kodi Debugging Log:

    ijOH

    systemctl status xorg.service

    AcLF

    lspci

    jDTA

    dmesg

    AYGD

All of these logs were pulled when the laptop had the error. Restarting without HDMI allows the laptop to boot normally. I can pull logs from when the laptop boots normally (without the HDMI going to Denon receiver) if needed.
Laptop is able to display and booth through 2ND HDMI to Denon fine in Win & Ubuntu.

And I have swapped out the HDMI cable.

I think I may need a custom Xorg.conf or EDID.bin but I'm not not sure how to troubleshoot.

  • with the hdmi cable plugged in and all devices powered on please post the output of the following command from ssh

    Code
    xrandr | pastebinit
  • mgale: updating to the latest Millhouse Testbuild (20171013004051) worked!

    HDMI working fine.

Please let me know if I can leave anymore info to help others.

    Thanks a million!
