you are right.
in the mean time the patch has been merged, so from now on any official release will have the it.
as for the longpress issue, GDPR-1, as its your patch, can you do a PR against 8 ?
I'm not planning a PR, if you want you can go ahead and PR a backport.
7.95.3 with patch is here:
why do you write 7.95.3 with patch ? it is a Version 9 with an Alpha version of kodi 18

No clue what you mean, LibreELEC-WeTek_Play_2.aarch64-7.95.3-patched-eee-off.tar is patched with the network fix described in this thread as it was not in the official version, it contains Kodi 17.0

Ok, I think I got it here:

so its this one?LibreELEC-WeTek_Play_2.aarch64-7.95.3.tar I am wondering which 7.95.3 does have the network fix applied.
Or am I missing something?
Kernel updates have now been 'officially' merged (Inc. eee)...
Vanilla build last night from libreelec-8.0 (kodi: process all lirc repeat events · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv@ae5a167 · GitHub)
My WeTek HUB is also affected by the "eee" bug.
I compiled an actual 8.0 master and now everything runs fine.
Thanks for the good work!

Correct, that one.
Good morning guys
Are we sure the memory leak bug is fixed in this latest release?
I've just switched my TV on this morning to discover that Kodi has frozen at some point in the night, in fact I would imagine that it happened at 21:43 as that is what time the onscreen clock has stopped at.
This has happened with past official builds, I just assumed that it was because of the memory leak issue.
Interestingly I am still able to access the WP2 via SSH. Issuing a top command reveals the system has been up for 12 hours & 44 minutes. Also, there is a process running called gdb that is using exactly 100% of CPU time.
Has anyone else experienced this? Again, I have to point out that this has not happened whilst I was using any of Raybuntu's releases.
Is there anything I can do to help get to the bottom of what's causing this?

No memory issues for me so far since 7.95.3, and it's been running 24/7 mostly.
