I can't find the fd628 service addon. I am going into the Install from Repository->Libreelec Repository->Services there is no FD628 service addon. Maybe is it LCDproc?

Yes, use the dtb linked in this post, I've tried, and you can see the clock instead of "boot".
Works ok, thanks!
What's the status with the extra icons (play, ethernet, wifi, etc)? Have you made them work yet? Do I need to install a service?

Changelog:
LibreELEC 8.2.3
add fd628-aml driver (thanks adamg)Does this imply that the front lcd in tanix tx3 mini will show something instead of "boot"? Cause I just upgraded automatically but "boot" is still there...

Hi All, I am running last 8.2 on a box with led-segment display which is always show "boot" signal whether it on or off.
Is there any way, any switch which can turn it off when LibreElec turns off?
Does this device happen to be tanix tx3 mini? If yes there is support for the front led in Leia builds (no turn off, only clock display) and also in the dual firmware. Please have a look at this thread.

My first impressions on the system are generally good, especially the android version (Alice UX). The Libreelec version is a devel version of some kind and NOT the latest from kszaq. I have strange stutters on some movies while in 8.2.2.3 for S905x I have none on the same movies.
So it is down to my first question I had made some days ago. How can the firmware be updated to the latest by kszaq? Why the choice on some devel version and not the latest by kszaq?

I know that S905W is not supported as in tanix tx3 mini but there is a request of many users over at the librelec tanix forum for making the front LCD work in Libreelec. It works in android but it's stuck displaying "boot" in Libreelec. Adamg has got it working in Leia, is it possible that the driver can be backported to current Krypton Libreelec releases?
Thanks a lot

Well, it has been released. If you subscribed, probably you got an email with download links and some instructions.
Otherwise, you can visit Tanix TX3 Max & Mini Dual OS Edition - LibreELEC + Android firmware - TANIX TV Box
and you will get the information on your email.
Please, this is a first version, let's see how it is working and improve it.
No email yet. Also the page over at tanix-box still has not published the firmware

The short answer is yes and yes
However... Afaik there will be no more updates to Krypton, kszaq may choose to continue to release minor updates for bug fixes but I don't know what his plans are.Is it easy for us to do by installing the LCDproc addons (kodi repo & libreelec repo) or does the driver need to be in the kodi build itself (or dtb)? If it's in the kodi build is it in a form of commit? Which one is it so that I ask kszaq to build a version with your commit?

Is it true the front LCD for tanix tx3 mini works in Leia? Is there someway we can add the support to current builds for krypton?

Thanks a lot Javi. I've got a question about the new system.
It seems great but when we have the new firmware how easy would it be to update individually the new versions of libreelec by kszaq?
I suspect that since the libreelec version would be inside the firmware, everytime we would want to update we will be needing a new firmware. Are you willing to be building a new firmware everytime a new libreelec version gets published?

So anyone managed to get the LCD working? I installed the LCDproc add-on, copied the LCD.xml in the userdata folder, rebooted but still "boot" stuck on LCD display. Something must be missing.
