That post goes back some time ago. You need to install Wilro's file as explained and then download one of Demetris's images. Once you get wilro's boot image installed you should then be able to toothpick boot Demetris's images. You need to use an img.gz file, not tar. Make sure you pick the right image based on your box specs.

First time I have heard of Wilro's file. Google it but not even a mention. Please guide me..

Not to worry. I have found your post.

    Hello,

I am running the 8.2.2 image on an MX3-G and are mostly happy. The newest 8.2.3 version sadly does not work at all. During starting the libreelec logo is not centered, instead it is in the left upper corner. When the logo disappears nothing happens. Normally the kodi logo shows up and starts. I use a 4k TV if that matters.

Kodi in libreelec runs a lot faster compared with the Android version, the movies don't shudder as they do a little bit in android (I don't know why this happens but it annoys me, libreelec is fine). But I have an issue which is not there in the android version. The box crashed if i try to display a 3d movie in 2d. Playing in 3d is fine but as soon as I switch to show as 2d the box goes black. Android works well, no issues.

Anyone an idea how to solve my issues? Thanks!

Where can I find 8.2.2 image for MX3-G please?

I have an M8S. Looking for this image: LibreELEC-S8X2.arm-8.0.2-MXIII-PLUS which I expect to upgrade my box to Krypton 17.. Currently I am using LibreELEC-MX3G.arm-7.0.1.4.img which is working perfectly with Kodi 16. Dual booting only.

I am a beginner and have problem trying to get to this image from Page 1. Any help would be appreciated

    Demetris

I have M8S box . I found LibreELEC-MX3G.arm-7.0.1.4.img compatible with this box.Currently I have dual booted via SD Card. Got Jarvis running with no problem whatsoever. I tried to update it to Krypton with your latest

    LibreELEC-S8X2.arm-8.0.2-MXIII-PLUS.img.gz but will not work.

    1) Is old MX3G and MXIII different?

    2) Is there a tar file to update to Krypton?

I am bit confused with whats happening with different boards and brands.

    Any help would be great.

I have an M8S box which I have dual booted with LibreELEC-MX3G.arm-7.0.1.4.img which is working perfectly. No issues whatsoever. I have tried Alexelec but will not work. This is the only one worked. However this has Kodi 16.1 - Jarvis. I have searched everywhere in order to update to Krypton without success. I also found that MX3 was an earlier version of MX111 and yet even liberelec update for MX111 will not work. Not frustrated but surely there must be one for M8S that works. Can anyone please guide me.

Thanks for this. I have dual boot my M8S box and its working great. However keen to have Krypton as this version is Jarvis only. Tried looking every website I can but no luck. Tried downloading Alexelec as alternative but the img file after unzipping shows it is corrupted.
AlexELEC-S812.M8S.arm-2.2.2.img.gz. So no luck here as well. Has anyone been able to dual boot or flash a Liberelec version for Krypton? Woould be keen to learn.

    This one: MEGA (kodi 16.1)

I found AlexELEC zip file when downloaded and unzipped , shows it is a corrupted file and would not work. Have tried different browsers and computers but same results. Has anyone has been able to download and install ?
