No mine is fine at that version however I have the cheap m201d = 512MB RAM MXQ.

I simply used the SD card with the 7.0.1.1 made sure it worked ok then followed the same procedure to InstalltoNand command. I would however just boot from SD card with 7.0.1.1 and give it some runtime confirm its ok before you install to NAND. It working well for me but it also keeps me stuck on Jarvis.

I loaded fresh 8.0.2e on a SD card with no Addons. After moving around Kodi after about 8 mins it locked up. Then reboot left it alone locked up after 15 mins.
7.0.1.1 is fine anything after that Locks up. Any other major changes after 7.0.1.1 for M201d ?
Thanks

Will try and let you know.

I have the same issue and have gone through everything you can think off. I have the 512 ram as well and it would freeze even at idle.
512 is enough RAM. As you said Android it will not freeze. There is a problem with this board and Kszaq build. I have tried every version and the only one that does not freeze is older version. 7.0.1.1. It works fine but it is only Jarvis. I am not sure what changed after that build but anything after that
with m201D freezes certain MXQ Motherboards. I also use a Wifi Dongle. I normally run at around 300 Megs of RAM with many addons without any issue on that Build.
Give it a shot on SD card. Let us know.

Just Awesome Kszaq !!

What version are you using right now? so I can swith to it...
7.0.1.1
It's the only stable version for me with no lockups.

I just installed LibreELEC-S805.arm-8.0-8.0.1a-m201d.img.gz on SD card for my m201c , but it hangs time to time and freezes a lot. I have to sut down from the main power supply to restart the box.
any idea for that issue?I had the same issue and ended up going back to a earlier version.

Thanks for your information about the older builds stability. The boxes freezes sometimes but it is much more stable than Android for me because I use it as a cheap linux server for a software application. I will try older releases to check if the freezes desapear.
About 350mb limitation, with this older build it persists or can you get 1GB?
I build LibrElec.tv from source code using your fork on github and tried another device tree files than the three available by default to to get 1GB but without success. I tried also to make copy m201d dtd increasing only memory amout to 1GB but it freezes after reboot like MXQ and HD18q images. Is it possible to get 1GB this way?
Maybe I am paranoid but can this board have less memory and the original firmware is mocking the user saying that it has 1GB?
Thank you all,
Alexandre
@Alexandre
Have a read on Page 4 of this Topic you will see some things Kszaq found about Fake RAM with these Boxes.

As far as I can tell there were no changes regarding suspend between 7.0.1.4 and 7.0.2.2.Hi Kszaq:
I have one of the newer MXQ Boards S805Q_V2.0 that only boots up with your M201D Build and of course it has the crappy 350 Megs. I have tried almost every Build inc. 7.0.3.3C as well as 8.0.0b and I am getting Freezing just with Kodi at idle or even playing Video's. Its random can be 5 mins or 30 mins. I have tried many things. Today I tried one of your first Build supporting M201D (7.0.1.1)and was going to slowly test each version from there moving up.
To my surprise no lockups at this old version. No freezing at idle or playback. Been testing for over a day now. This may be the one i will use.
Question:
I currently have loaded to NAND 8.0.0b and soon I will push from SD (7.0.1.1) to NAND. Will the standard SSh (InstalltoInternal) work for me in this case. Will it overwrite the LibreElec
8.8.8b in NAND ?Thanks for all your great work !!!

Mirror with older builds: Index of /s805/old_buildsThank you. Much appreciated.

Well, I managed to find a 7.0.1.4 image on sx05.eu and can confirm that wake up by pressing remote power button works out of the box on this build for me, and doesn't on 7.0.3.3c, 8.0.0b or 7.0.2.2. Anyway, I'm quite happy with using a slightly older build - it's been rock stable for me and satisfies all my needs. Thanks once again )Could you provide the Link as I too need an older version to try.
Thanks

Hi kszaq,Thanks for the excelent work with LibreELEC for amlogic devices.
I am using this build since version 7.0.3.3a on some MXQ boxes to replace the stock android image with LibreELEC and until now I am very satisfied with the results.
I use the toothpick method and install it to NAND and it works perfectly for all devices until now when I need to buy a MXQ lot from another supplier. With this new lot, when I try to boot the recovery from SD card the recovery process is finished but after reboot it freezes on boot screen and the boot process never ends.
I open the devices and the hardware looks like similar (same processor S805) but in different revisions printed on board (S805 rev2.0 and S805Q_V2.0). The version S805 rev2.0 works and version S805Q_V2.0 not. The attachment of this message contains a picture of the boards.
I need to know if is it possible to make it work with this new revision of board and which information I need to collect to help on the diagnostic of this issue.
Thanks in advance,
Alexandre

Hi kszaq,It works using image LibreELEC-S805.m201d.arm-7.0.3.3c.zip.
I managed now that this new lot came with less RAM (only 350mb).
The version for m201d works perfectly.
Sorry about the inconvenience and thanks again for the excelent work!
Alexandre
I have the exact same board S805Q_V2.0 and only the M201D works for me. I also have only 350 Megs of RAM. It works but it will freeze sometimes playing a Movie or even if Kodi just sits idle. it may sit idle for 20 Mins and Freeze or 7 Hours. Do you have any issues with it Freezing ?

Anyone experiencing front-end lockups? It happens randomly. Smb is still accessible.Things will work fine from 5 mins to 30 Mins and randomly Video will freeze and then Krypton will reboot. happens mostly on Video Playback. However I have one of these
crappy MXQ Boxes with 512M of RAM (Fake RAM Box was supposed to be 1 GIG) and only build that worked was the M201D. So Probably the shortage of RAM may be my issue. -
I had an issue like this with my 905x box. What I did was use the UPDATE&BACKUP app that most these boxes come with, zipped up an aml_upgrade_package with 4 other files and boom. I was able to flash out of the Android firmware that prevented my toothpick method, recovery, and booting from sd.I was tempted to do the same however I did not want to NAND flash until I try running from SD card first. I even tried putting a Fake ZIP file on the SD card and picked it from Update and Backup but whenever the SD card is inserted it won't get past the S805 AMLOGIC Logo once rebooted. I would Root the box but can't find any easy way to root.
UPDATE:
I found out the Hard way I have one of these MQX Boxes with Fake RAM (512) instead of 1 Gig. It ended up booting fine from the M210D Build of LE. It was the only Build that would boot. All works well except the Box freezes randomly both playing Video and sometimes just idle in Kodi. I tried several Class 10 SD cards same result. Any tips ? I then flashed to NAND. Again works well most of the time with Random Freeze. Using the 7.0.3.3C build from K. If I can stop these Freezes it would run great.

I tried most of these methods and have found the closest I can get is that I can get to the recovery screen by using Android Terminal Emulator. What files do I need on the sd card to be able to use the update from EXT command in recovery?
I would like to test sd card install first but thinking I'll have to go straight to installing to NAND.Appreciate all your help.
EDIT Using Android Terminal Emulator "reboot update" command did work.
I am having the same issue as well. When you used the "reboot update" was your Box Rooted ?
Thanks
