OpenELEC and LibreELEC are essentially the same, a very basic and minimal OS to run as media center. During my searches found out that the developers of OE had some sort of disagreement and most left to setup LE.
Some of the add-ons use P2P instead of a stream. Watching just a stream, probably legal. But who knows for how long these days.
The wireless problems mostly have to do with the Broadcom wireless chipset on the RPi. On mobile now, but you can go to the official RPi forums and read all about that if you want.
I got Kodi installed on my Amazon Fire TV and want it to use an OpenVPN to connect to the internet, while Amazon Prime videos should use the internet connection without kodi. Is there a way to change Kodi's network settings to ignore the system's (Fire TV's) internet connection and use an independent kodi vpn connection?
