The SSD will be formatted during the installation and a different filesystem will be written to it. If you want, you could ofc format it as NTFS, but it will be something else after
There will be no 7.0.3 as there will be no Kodi 16.2. The development for LE 7.0.x has stopped. Next stable release will be LE 8.0 which will contain Kodi 17 Krypton.
Get us a logfile
Tell us where those movies you play are stored? Is it locally on a NAS or an attached HDD or are we talking about internet streams? Be aware, that we don´t support video streaming addons that provide pirated content. If you have issues with them, please ask those where you get the addon from.
If we are not talking about video addons, then please share the logfile with us:
Yepp, it´s for the Raspberry Pi.
If you are here: downloads – LibreELEC
There is some text that says: "... please select your hardware in the drop-list below: "
And under that there is a little box which per default lists "Rapsberry Pi v2 and Raspberry Pi v3"
If you click on that, you are able to select different builds matching to your hardware.
It depends on your hardware. If you have a RPi2 or a RPi3 then the file is correct. If not, and that´s my guess what the message will tell you, then you downloaded the wrong file.
If the file you downloaded doesn´t work, I would guess you have a RPi1. Then you need this file:
LibreELEC-RPi.arm-7.0.2.tar
If you have normal PC Hardware, then it´s this:
LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-7.0.2.tar
When selecting 1080p not working
After you provided the logfile you should probably be a bit more specific what exactly is "not working" for you.
you can´t install anything to LibreELEC as LibreELEC is a read-only system.
Which threads you are referring to in regard to use w_scan for a scan for tv channels? Normally this is done by the backend you use.
Exodus is a banned addon...see: Official:Forum rules/Banned add-ons - Official Kodi Wiki
So we don´t care
Moved to general support, as this seems not to be an issue with the SD creator tool.
With all due respect...but LE 7.0.2 was our first release. So I would ask for some patience.
Development has to go further and not backwards. At a point the devs have to stop working on a current release and focus on the new version. Kodi itself behaves the same way. There will not be any other Kodi 16 release than the current one. If there would have been a Kodi 16.2 there might have been a LE 7.0.3, and that might be a version that has the fix for you.
Now you say, that the above thing is not working for you but it's working with 7.90.006. You say that 7.90.006 is not stable for you but you don't mention what your problem is exactly. Development is currently at those version and not telling what exactly your problem is with 7.90.006 won't fix your issue (whatever that might be).
Now you have 2 options:
1. Wait untill the current Alphas will be stable; probably with your problems not fixed and then complaining why we still release a buggy version. Note, that there will be less development on the next release after it's released, because development has to go further again.
2. Report what issues you have with current alphas, as this would really help to make things better. So the devs are able to release a less buggy version.
Your choice, which way would fit best for you
WinSCP has to be configured to show hidden folders. What Klojum meant is to do the update via SMB like explained here:
Which Samsung TV is it? I heard of those issues in relation to AVRs and IIRC there's nothing we can do for you. In relation to AVRs it was some Intel -> AVR manufactor bug.
But, tbh, it's the first time I hear about it that it's also caused by a TV directly with no AVR in between.
your log doesn't contain any h.265 video codec.
What might be interesting is, what happened between that time and why you get a permission denied error. You should fix that too:

Beside the fact, that the log is 3 days long (following the timestamps) you should reboot sometimes, your logfile isn't a debuglog:
07:10:56 T:139703077926976 NOTICE: Disabled debug logging due to GUI setting. Level
So either change to a nightly build and test if your problem is already solved or provide a logfile like the way I explained in the link above.
Please get us a screenshot from your audio settings. The screenshots should show the available options for "select audio output device" and "passthrough device". Be sure your settings level is set to 'expert'.
Could please try a clean install with that:
LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-7.0.2.img.gz
and then try an upgrade to 7.90.006 with:
