So just re-do your settings. It might have been a problem with the skin you have used. So I would keep it this way, do your settings, add your addons and see, if it fails again.

If those servers you are connecting to, are crap, I guess there´s nothing we can do
-
generally there is no Kodi migration wizard.
After upgrading to LE 8.0.1
From which version did you upgrade to LE 8.0.1?Could you please provide a full debuglog?
-
How do you try to connect to it? I guess you are using Windows. If so, probably delete the cache from WinSCP as it might have some older informations stored in it.
See: Cleaning Up Application Data :: WinSCP
I guess there are some older host keys stored which will prevent the login.

Are you sure it's an SD card you switched or might it be a microSD card?

this is really strange. Would be intersting from which OE version you tried to migrate and what skin might be in use then
Could you please try for a test to do a hard reset by:
That will remove all your settings and installed addons, but those will be stored in the "kodi-bak"-folder. I'm not sure what exactly causes the issue, but the message cames from here:

Could you please tell me how to get the menu fucntionality for DVD. Nice to knowNormally DVD menus should play by default if you have full DVD rips including them, ofc
There is also a setting for Bluray menus: settings->player settings->Discs->"Blu-ray Playback mode"
possible options: "show simplified menu", "show bluray menu" and "play main movie"
Set it to "Show Blu-Ray menu". Maybe Kodi will play some BR menus already. I don´t rip BRs with menus anymore.
-
BluRay with menus is still some kind of WIP (work in progress) as it needs Java, IIRC.
For myself I never get one running, but I also never investigated much time into that. DVD menus are working fine instead.
As long as there is no "BluRay with menu"-support from Kodi itself, you won´t get it running in LE, too.

Which OE version was it that worked for you on that laptop? The GPU (ATI RADEON XPRESS 1150) only has 128MB shared memory from your RAM and it´s pretty old. So wouldn´t wonder, if that is not supported anymore for newer OE or LE releases.

unfortunately not a debuglog.
But I won't expect too much from a RPi in relation to 4k

It's easy
Just follow the video from here to access LibreELEC: Accessing LibreELEC - LibreELEC
and do the following commands chewitt mentioned:
and
which is the same as "cat /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log | paste"
after each, you will get an URL back. Please post that here.

Logfiles:
HOW TO:Provide Logfile - LibreELECThere is little difference in:

Kodi on Wetek Hub is not able to read dts-hd hra files. There's no sound at all.and
Quote
Adjust refreshrate help when it's enable. But it take a moment and AVR still show hdma instead of hra.So we have some progress as it seems you have now sound, but "only" DTS-HDMA instead of DTS-HRA
Please dowload the "DTS-HD HRA 5.1 (MKV @ 1080p/23.976 VC-1)" from here: Samples - Official Kodi Wiki
and check with that file what your AVR shows.
We still need the logfile. So please provide it with the instructions linked above and while trying to play your!! DTS-HRA file.
I'll download the same file and test on my own Wetek Hub with my amp tomorrow. Sorry for that delay, but I won't have the time to do it today.

We need more infos:
- which NUC is it exaclty?
- are you able to SSH in after it stucks at the black screen?
- ifyes, then please try to grab a log with: pastebinit /storage/.kodi/temp/kodi.log
- how did you write the image to the thumb drive? You could also try to download again and try to re-install. Maybe something went wrong at downloading or while writing the image
-
We need more info:
- which AVR?
- a debug log (probably 2 logfiles...one with the working version and one with the non-working version)
- a mediainfo from that file
- do you have "Adjust refreshrate"-option enabled and if yes, does it help, if you disable that?
- do you face this problem only with DTS-HD HRA files? Are DolbyTrueHD or DTS-HDMA working fine?
- What is shown in the AVR-display if you play a DTS-HD HRA file? -
So you would like to drop your NAS to use the Pi and add NAS functionality to it?
What is wrong with your current NAS? Why not keep it?
As the mentioned USB HDD you linked above has USB 3.0 there would be no benefit on RPi side, because the RPi don't have USB 3.0 plugs.

The update is done as for any other LibreELEC installation. Find a matching *.tar file for your device, put that to the .update folder and reboot.
As you own some S905 device, there is no "official" support for this. We have some community AMLogic support.
Probably this might fit best:
Moved this thread to the amlogic subsection.

The only way I know how the first-time-setup wizard will come up again, is to do a hard reset with:
but that will remove all your installed addons again, because it's like a factory reset. So connecting to wifi networks has to be done manually over the LE settings after you have installed your addons.
