probably show us the file you are using and remove passwords if those are in

I had the same with a cat 6 cable some years ago. Both show the device is connected, but only one of them got me a gigabit network.
So checking the most obvious things first, will always help

Way too many banned repos installed. Support stops here.

Thanks, but it plays fine when acceleration is turned off.
GDPR-1 ^ ^

AllanMarcus Are you sure it's playing with hw decoding?
According to the source code:
xbmc/DVDVideoCodecAmlogic.cpp at Krypton · xbmc/xbmc · GitHub
It shouldn't play with amcodec.
GDPR-1 as far as I undertood he says, that it only plays without hw accel. Maybe I got something wrong.

It's not a problem at all. We will look further into that issue. I had a little talk with a team member and I will try to reproduce with a special build from him which will get more debug informations.
If you want to test yourself:
just update to those builds and test with debug logging enabled. After Kodi hangs/crashes, please get us a new logfile.
Unfortunately I'm a bit busy at the moment. So I can't test before Friday. I will, but if you are faster....just do it

I talked to a team member and it would be nice if the logs would have been debuglogs. So please enable debug logging first and then grab the log

How do you connect to that speaker setup? Do you have a link to that speaker system you are using?
You are able to configure specific speaker layouts at the audio settings. Depending on how you are connected to it, you need to adjust some settings. So we need more infos first.

Im not asking what an OpenVPN or a VPN is
But you aren't aware of what a VPN (or what OpenVPN) is or what it does (and what it not does). That's why I pointed you back to thread you already asked about that.
It's not a problem if you don't get it (noone knows/understands everything). But for that reason, and the reason it's explained in the previous thread, I also posted the VPN Wiki. Probably that makes it more clear to you (if you bother to read it, ofc).

what i have to do if i want to buy a streamer that i want to install
Take a look at our download section. You will find a list of supported hardware. Next to some x86 hardware (based on Intel, NVidia or AMD) you will find the RaspberryPi (0,1,2,3), some Wetek devices, the odroid C" and others.
If you are asking for a specific device, just get us a link to it. Then we will take a look and will see if it's supported or not.

Everything in relation to OpenVPN is answered in here already:
What is the difference between LibreElec and OpenVPN or are they the same?
Please read the answers you got in that thread. If it's not clear what a VPN is, please read:

Hoffy unfortunately not a debuglog. So it's a bit hard to say. You have to enable debug logging and try to reproduce your issue. Then get us a new log please
-
Edit: Disabling VDPAU acceleration also solves this problem.
could you please mark your thread at Kodi forums as "solved"

It might also depend on how you shutdown your RPi. You shouldn't simply pull the power plug without shutting it down, as that might cause issue on your SD-card which can lead to the RPi not botting anymore.

HD-Audio via PCM is fine until it comes to DolbyAtmos or DTS:x. The latter can´t be decoded yet.
Beside that, HD-audio via PCM is pretty fine as you won´t hear any difference.
But what does not work for the moment is passthrough/biststreaming. That´s still a bug Intel has to fix. Nothing wrong on our or Kodis side.

Seems to be some normal Intel machine in general.
Just try to download that:
LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.0.2.tar
and put that into the .update folder on your machine. Make backups first in case something crashes. But AFAICT it's some normal Intel machine and the file image I mentioned above should work fine.

Depending on which system you are, you are also able to use some remote app from your smartphone. There is "Yatse" and/or "Kore" for Android devices and a bunch for iOS devices as well.
There is also the Flirc dongle (which is a thing I use myself). With that you are able to use ANY IR remote you own. There are many how-to videos for the Flirc dongle on Youtube.
If the remote you already ordered doesn't fit your needs, then I would take a look at Flirc
