So, its finally weekend, and time to play, while compiling another test build I was looking at kodi.bin using just top, it seems to eat more memory (and not freeing it) after displaying posters, I thought that texture release issue was fixed a while back ?

The issue is a memory leak (which is still not found) in Kodi mostly reproduced with uncached thumbs (texturecache.py can lock up very fast). Also there is a Kernel issue with the way memory is allocated which leads to the lockup and not a crash. The Kernel issue is 90% solved.

    @ zbigzbig20 I believe this is a known issue with TvHeadend 4.2

Over in afl1's KI Plus / KII Pro thread, guys seem to be having success with service.tvheadend42-8.1.108.zip and Kodi Krypton. :)

I think the issue is different here. I'm not using media_build and I've bumped tvh 4.2 server too. The issue is rather in peak3d's patch. It's like the rewind/ffwd/skipping problem. Sometimes picture freezes.

    Hello,

    Branch: master

a new zlib version was release (1.2.11), and the old archives was moved, so there can not downloaded from zlib.net anymore.
The build process aborts at this point.

and zlib has bugs (see quote from zlib.net)

    Sascha

Thank you for reporting the issue. Do you want to create a PR that solves the issue? If not I can do it.

Here is my community build. Kernel is build as 64bit with 32bit Userspace. It means you can use 32bit armhf packages.
I'm putting it here too. You can also get support here:
    Wetekforums for WH
    Wetekforums for WP2
    Odroid Forum for C2

    Pine64 Forum for RocPine64 Forum for Rock64k64

DISCLAIMER: It's a community build of LibreELEC. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Report Bug only to me.

Tar upgrade from aarch64 might work use the following steps:

    Code
    touch /storage/.update/.nocompat

Then copy the tar into /storage/.update/ and reboot
After everthing is updated you need to remove all the binary addons and reinstall those from the repo.
Beware that kodi caches zips in /storage/.kodi/addons/packages. Those have to be removed too.

    Code
    rm /storage/.kodi/addons/packages

If you are updating from one of my previous builds you just need to put the tar in /storage/.update/

    LibRetro, DRM with inputstream work.

It is bleeding edge. I'm following LibreELEC release cycle.

I created those to have Amazon VOD, Netflix, SkyGo, libretro etc working with inputstream.adaptive. On a side effect it fixes the memleak. Those builds are otherwise nearly identical. I'm trying to PR every fix as fast as possible. The network fix is pending to be merged in LE. Only exception is the change to the buildsystem. This is still WIP and not targeted for LE8. Hopefully it will be included in LE9.

My main priority is official LE. My community builds are for preview features and fixing bugs.

but where is the official libreelec fix ???? no beta for wetek devices ... it s**** ... sorry

micha47259 There is a memory leak in the official aarch64 builds. Thats why there are no official. I have that fix included in my community builds. My builds and also kszaq's builds use 32bit (arm) for userspace. There is no memory leak in those builds.
I use official base for my builds so you should have almost the same experience. You can switch to official once its fixed.

    I got some more outputs!
I hope this http errors gives some talented people a hint ;)

andy5macht No new information. Can you enable trace for linuxdvb and diseqc?

I'm afraid that's not the case here. These are not illegal sky stream links or so, and they work on wrxtasys builds as well as on a raspberry and my firetv. It seems to be a muxing problem when tuning. Sometimes it works, sometimes your build struggles at the beginning. If it tunes in sync, then it stays in sync. But I can switch to another channel and back to the first again and it is most probably struggling at the beginning and then it plays with many seconds asynchronously. Doesn't happen on older krypton aarch64 alphas (before the patches from peak3d) and not on wrxtasys 7.x.x.

OK you might found something. Let's discuss this further in my Thread since these thread is for official Bugreports.

It looks like your issues are in those streams you are using. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't. I am no expert to ask about Kodi audio issues.
