CEC HAS TO be disabled for any IR remote to work in XBMC (Kodi).
I'm not sure that's entirely accurate. My Harmony remotes are IR and work perfectly well with CEC enabled or not.
Unless your statement is that CEC HAS TO be disabled for any external IR receiver to work
Hi, i have minimx ver 1. 2gb ram 16gb storage . . .
Then i replace on root dtb.img with (gxbb_p200_minimx.dtb renamed dtb.img)
Shouldn't that be using gxbb_p200_2G_mini_mxg_2_16.dtb ?
OK, just given that a go, went into the settings and made the changeStill no go
Sorry to hear that, worth a shot

Has anyone been able to get .006 working on MiniMX (bear startup logo, 2 USB ports) on USB ?
Works fine for me on the USB port next to the mSD slot using gxbb_p200_2G_mini_mxg_2_16.dtb
I updated OTA on my box
Mine doesn't find any OTA updates, I guess it's because it already has 107L1 build.
I just wanted the stock FW in case of bricking, the TWRP backup will have to do for now
it says it has but then the rebooot just gives a black screen.
I had that with the MiniMX boxes. Going into Android and turning of the Auto resolution setting by manually selecting 1080 prior to booting into LibreElec fixed it for me
@kszaq
Is it possible to have the S805 builds run from USB as the S905 ones can ?
Have a look at freaktab
Yeah, I already tried that one - gives me a footer error and aborts (thanks anyway)
worth a looksie
Nothing there for this, thanks
@kostaman
Have you managed to locate a stock image to restore your MiniMX (non Beelink) to latest (S905_107L1) build?
I have a TWRP backup for these boxes but can't find a stock image for them
quitroot
Can you try only quoting what is relevant to your post? The thread can get really long if you quote whole posts when responding to someone
Excellent work, as always and booting from USB too! Woohoo!
just add "site:forum.libreeelec.tv" to your search terms to search the forums using google. Best result, from our thread here: LibreELEC
Reboot from nand is a binary ( /usr/sbin/rebootfromnand ) - if your skin allows you to execute binaries by selecting menu options or clicking buttons, you can add the functionality.
Thanks & thanks
The search function on this site is absolute crap! Can someone help me out and point me where I read about using the 'Reboot to Nand' option in skins other than Confluence ?
Uh.. so i'm not mad. I was really confused as this is the 1st device ever i saw without a fixed mac address
No, you're not mad LOL. Your device actually does have a fixed MAC address, LibreElec looks in known locations for it and generates one if it can't find a legitimate one.
Your device must be storing the MAC address in a different location than normal.
Using the script will allow you to set the MAC address (which will be applied at each boot) thereby effectively restoring an apparently static MAC address.
Down the track, a later build will probably fix the issue and the script can be deleted (or not - doesn't really do any harm)
Hello,I'm still in trouble with booting libreelec (.005) from SD resulting in having a different mac adress of the machine on every boot. Looks like that get's randomly created on every boot.
Any hints on how to fix that?
You can probably use this udev rule to set the MAC accress, until kszaq gets a chance to correct it permanently
my MiniMX-G works just fine on 7.0.2.005
These two MiniMX 2/16GB do not work with 7.0.2.005, as stated. What significance is the -G bit? The model of these is simply MiniMX.
I haven't bothered with the 7.0.2.004 build since the latest one was supposed to cure some bugs in that build (so no point loading the build with bugs in LOL)
The remote is really crap. Multiple presses for commands and pointing direct to box.
The reciever in these clones seems quite good - I can point the remote pretty much anywhere and it works
@trogggy I'll look into that - thanks
@kostaman Have you found a way to overcome the lack of options on the MiniMX remote?
I use a Harmony remote to control these boxes, but since there are very few buttons on the MiniMX remote, I have lost a lot of useful functions with the Harmony remote.
Also Bluetooth is not recognised - Is that what you have found?
