Best thing to do is download the LiveSD / USB image burn it to a SD/USB and then place it into your device.
Thanks, I was trying to get a heads up before buying.
Suck it and see, I guess

Here is what I did:
What I did was returned them as the defective pieces of junk they are and bought MiniMX models instead

after reading this https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread-524-po...ml#pid5535
I Solved the Remote Problem.
I Browse Android System using ES File, then Copy Remote.conf and put it on my Kubuntu Laptop.
Then, I Mount LibreELEC MicroSD to My Kubuntu Laptop, mount /media/DISK/
Copy Remote.cof to /media/DISK/.config/
Then i put back MicroSD to My Mini M8S, and plug the power, and now my Remote is working.
Well done! Just proves that reading the threads available really does help
Is Kszaq doing active development regarding new release? Or is he simply fed up of 1000 questions?
What should we take it as Mr.Kszaq?
I would take it as Kszaq is doing something beneficial to many, as always.
Why would you suspect anything else?
Does anyone have any info on the KIII Amlogic S905 TV BOX ?
It seems to be a similar spec to the Beelink MiniMX, does anyone know if it can run these LE builds?
Or maybe it's known as a K3, since I see people talking of K1s and K2s ?
I was using LE for several weeks on a rpi2 which is my room.
Is an rpi2 an S905 device?

I have a Mini M8S and it won't give me a valid IP on the Ethernet.
What do you mean? Your router provides the IP addresses, unless you have chosen to set a static internal IP yourself.
I presume you have not chosen the latter, or you would know that it wasn't valid when you set it.
Check that you have DHCP selected in the Network setup, or if that is already the case, try changing it to a Manual selection and enter a valid IP address for your LAN.
I had that with the MiniMX boxes. Going into Android and turning off the Auto resolution setting by manually selecting 1080 prior to booting into LibreElec fixed it for me
i have one problem ... every boot device have different mac address
You can probably use this udev rule to set the MAC accress, until kszaq gets a chance to correct it permanently
Can anyone help me with that ?, dont know how
Copy & Paste echo Y > /sys/power/wake_lock to a new txt file, rename to autostart.sh and save it to /storage/.config
there must be a way of booting into recovery from an sd
you also need the Android dtb.img for your device on the SD (if you had installed LE to nand) with recovery.img and update file
[hr]
You obviously don't need any update file on the SD if you're going into Recovery for some other reason than updating
[hr]
Just to boot into recovery yeah? Not for backups if youre on Nand OE only ?
Just backed up up LE, restored MiniMX to Android and then back to LE OK using TWRP backup

I'm on Nand LE, haven't tried anything yet with TWRP but it is available as Recovery
Are you saying you're using a TWRP image and factory device tree image on sd card to get into recovery ?
Yep
I can't promise anything - life always provides lots of more important things to do.
Well said Sir
[hr]
I just updated the dead links
The links weren't dead for me, the zip file just doesn't work with the non Beelink MiniMX 2GB / 16 GB boxes that I have. Thanks anyway
By the way it flies on Nand Installation. Big Difference Like Night and Day.
Agreed.
I was using TWRP from SD / USB as recovery.img, so had no problems with the nand installation. TWRP still works fine from SD, as far as I can tell
No idea what to do now that this step was missed ?
Restore from TWRP (recovery.img on SD card) backup and start again?
With my harmony what is a good device to search/use for that has context, info, home, subtitles
