@alex801 I don't use smartcard. Channel switching time 2-3 secs. top shows CPU load for Kodi about 30-40% even for 4K channels. And this is the load for single CPU core. WeTek Play 2 has 4 cores, so basically 3 cores are idle and one is half-loaded. My WP2 is connected to gigabit router, connection is very stable.
From my experience the slowness of your WP2 can really be caused by the sdcard.

I'm using WeTek Play 2 with built-in DVB-S2 tuner and LibreELEC 8.0 + tvheadend. Works great so far.
-
You need to install it from LibreELEC addon repository.

I wonder why they have two LNB feeds then? One is RF IN and second is RF OUT.

Yes, WP2 (S905) has worse GPU, but if you buy it to watch video, not to play games, you'll not notice any difference.
-
The are very close by specs. But I'd choose WeTek Play 2 because it is based on more recent Amlogic S905.
-
Because you are playing it using software decoding. ff-vp9 means the decoding is performed by FFmpeg.

This is a known issue, please read release notes at LibreELEC (Krypton) v7.90.009 ALPHA – LibreELEC

You can run Android for WeTek Play in NAND and LibreELEC from SD-card. Just make sure to use good class 10 or faster SD-card.
You can find Android builds for WeTek Play (it is called WeTek OS) from WeTek forum. Here's the latest official release: WeTek OS 1.1.7 for WeTek Play [14/03/2016] - WeTek Community ForumTo flash LibreELEC to an SD-card use LibreELEC USB-SD Creator. You can find it at downloads – LibreELEC. Choose the desired release for WeTek Play and follow the instructions.
Enigma 2 is another Linux-based OS focused towards Live TV. You can also run it from SD-card.

Make a backup, do clean install of LE 7.0.2 into NAND via recovery, restore the backup.
-
No, it is not related to serial console. But I think, I know what caused the problem. I need some time to try to fix it.
-
LibreELEC 8.0 is still in Alpha stage and may have issues. Just install LE 7.x onto SD-card and try if the videos work better with it.

That means video player tries to sync with audio, but sometimes it doesn't work as intended. We are aware of the problem and trying to fix it.
