Can you check with a partition program (Gparted) to see if the drive or its partition(s) are indeed okay and flagged as read-only?

You can also try the built-in backup in the LibreELEC Settings add-on
Report your bug here: Issues · robweber/xbmcbackup · GitHub

Yes, please. It's simple... Smaller log files with less clutter can be investigated more easily.

Do you really need joystick support to be enabled? Because the log is flooded with joystick entries.
Also, after enabling debugging, a restart of Kodi (or LibreELEC in full) is recommended.

Sorry, we have no crystal ball to see which hardware you are referring to.

Is there anyone experiencing the same problem?
Not really. 16:9 is the default setting, so I'm curious as to which different resolution your RPi4 is activating. I have a simple 1080p TV where a RPi4B works fine, as well as on a 21:9 wide monitor (2560x1080). I get no "free" black bars.
Perhaps you can start by bypassing the Denon AVR, and connect the RPi4 directly to your TV. See if that changes anything.
And of course providing the kodi.log file (debugging enabled and LE rebooted!) should give some insight. Please provide a full debug log.How to post a log (wiki)1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging2. Restart Kodi3. Replicate the problem4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)
use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link -
I get a faint blinking activity light
Are you sure the RPi4 power adapter is providing enough juice?
The activity light (green) is the drive led, 'faint' could also mean lots of disk activity is going on (as in superfast blinking).

NTFS is not my favorite disk format when running a Linux OS, but ExFAT is also an option if you want format the 1TB SSD for both OSes.
Alternatively, you could run a bootable Linux distro from USB on your PC (such as Ubuntu), and transfer all your files on a then Linux default EXT4 formatted 1TB SSD... Any subsequent additions can be done over the network.
Just my 0.02c.

I use shielded FTP cables, the price difference was negligible, and it won't hurt.

Have any LibreELEC developers started to look at the newer Nvidia Jetson Nano developer kits / Nvidia Jetson Nano development boards?
Not LibreELEC, but some people on the Kodi forum are busy with it, off and on: Nvidia Jetson Nano, superfast Kodi device?

There is always the possibility of a cable having hairfractures, and that there are performance issues. Try a different cable, a different port in your switch/router, etc.

100 Mbit & gigabit cable is designed to handle 100 metres.

Your power adapter is not as powerful as it was/is advertised.
Find yourself a proper adapter of at least 3.0-3.5 Amps for a RPi3B+ (depending on which USB hardware is attached).

Let me take this time to point out that I AM NOT ASKING HOW TO START TERMINAL!!!! so people will stop giving stupid replies.
It's always so refreshing to know what people really need. Either the words got lost in translation before, or somewhere between brain cells, it's not always possible to know right away what someone REALLY means when he is typing in words on a forum. Bold words start out of nowhere... Plus, the other forum users are not sitting next to you in front (or behind) behind your computer. Or perhaps the questions are read too fast so details might be lost. So, sometimes we are making educated guesses.
We get rewarded for it with a big yapping mouth full of ... $%^&*. How nice. I'll be AFK now, probably longer than 3400 seconds. -
Yup libreelec.tv does not want problems solved in a reasonable time frame.
I'm not aware of any changes on latest timeouts on new posts/searches/etc, but there is a strict policy on the forum because of anti-spam measures. Something which is unfortunately necessary.

I'm using Ubuntu Server 18.04 as well.
Weird. I have only the NFS mount in autostart on a RPi4 and a Generic Intel box, and they work with it.
Perhaps your NFS export settings are different. Anyways, your problem seems to be solved.
