Sorry, our crystal ball is offline for the weekend.
Which hardware is this for, and which image are your using?

Please do not hijack someone else's topic for your own htpc problem.
I created a new thread for you in the AMLogic section.
"Wait for network" is not enabled?
Otherwise provide a kodi.log file.
Nvidia on Linux also only goes 8bit, not 10bit. There is a bork for you.
Disabling the VDPAU mixer is a surprizing fix.
Oh, I'm very relaxed. I just asked a simple question.
And since we all now know where the NUC/PC section is, we can move forward.
What's the deal with your signature?
A whole previous setup no longer applicable... Better take it out .
Some LE team members have a GT1030 (me), some LE team members have a 4K.
None of the LE team members have both items, so it's not easy reproducing your problem.
Lend me your 4K television, and we can start troubleshooting.
Buy a nuc. Future proof.
Ehh.. No. Nothing is future proof. Every htpc box will be bound for dust collection some day.
First it was the ancient GPUs, then the 32bit boxes, then 4K, after that HEVC, HDMI 2.0, now 10bit, HDR, HDR10, HDR10+, 8K....
There will always be a reason to get a 'better' htpc device.
The s912 is not recommended i read here.
Indeed, as per Kodi forum listings:
- LibreELEC Kodi Krypton does not work properly on S912 Boxes due to serious Linux GPU video driver issues !
There are no plans to include this as an officially supported build.
It will likely be a community build just like the various AMLogic builds.
you could also say we don't know yet
Where's the fun in that? :p
Simple. Until the developer currently doing the S812 builds thinks it's time to move.
That video is a long detour compared to the current way to update. You don't need an extra (Windows) tool, you copy the update file to the .update folder via Samba, and reboot.
Apart form hijacking someone else's topic *cough*... The answer is no. You cannot separately upgrade Kodi in side LibreELEC.
Upgrading LibreELEC itself normally has no impact on your settings with minor updates.
For your information: mentioning any of those banned and illegal add-ons will get this conversation and support towards you ended very quickly. Either you follow our forum rules or this topic stops here. Especially when those spinning circles are happening during those usage of those add-ons.
Refresh your memory with our forum rules.
Perhaps you are reading the RSS-ticker? That may have the 17.4 announcement.
Otherwise I have no clue. Why not provide a kodi.log with some details?
Please always provide FULL logs. Also use the built-in pastebinit support so logs will be uploaded to an external website, offloading our own forum database.
