Is there no disk space left on the storage partition, or have both databases simply become corrupted?
Perhaps exFAT works better than NTFS. But also EXT4 is a default linux disk format for several years now. So why not use that for your media partition as well?
Your S905X Player can handle 4K video, your RPi simply cannot. Its GPU only understands videos upto 1080p.
I'm just curious... Did you create those partitions manually just right of the bat onto the SD card, or did you create the 3rd NTFS partition after a completed LibreELEC installation via a LibreELEC image?

I recently bought a Crucial MX500 (500GB) SSD, which also has a 5-year warranty (for what it's worth). Crucial has the better price/performance towards Samsung I think. Speed differences between the two are hardly noticeable in real-life environments.
If you're only looking for a system disk, running LibreELEC, have a look at the cheaper Kingston SSDs. 120GB is already overkill, and 64GB SSDs are not even sold anymore AFAIK.
Make sure that the HDDs are not in Windows' suspend or hibernation mode. Connect them to a Windows computer and have Windows shut down fully and properly.
Also check for disk errors in Windows. Linux does not like disk errors and will not mount such disks, simply to prevent further damage.
For major updates, going from 16.x to 17.x, there was no auto-update (afaik), as the system partition size of Kodi 16 had become too small for Kodi 17. This could lock-up many LibreELEC setups. Hence, a fresh install is necessary to make use of Kodi 17.
Make a good backup of your Kodi 16 setup first, install the fresh Kodi 17, and restore your backup.
Or, if you are handy enough, resize the system partition of your Kodi device manually, and also upgrade manually after that.
These days, 1 GB of total storage for LibreELEC is very much "livin' on the edge"... 512 MB for the system partition, some 400 MB for your storage. I'd say 2GB is the absolute mininum.
And if you are planning to use a different, and have a decent library in your multimedia collection, go for at least 4GB, for storing all the thumbs/fanart
Micro SD card prices for 4-8 GB cards are negligible these days, even the Class 10 cards, which you need.
PS: Just make sure you have the correct RPi image from our website to install for your RPi-2 device.
I don't have all the details, but I'd say Intel's current 8th gen Graphics is the best bet for now if you are looking for working codecs.
AMD will probably catch up, but the amount of time necessary for that is unknown.
openelec can no longer read m3u8.
OpenELEC has not been updated/supported by its creator for over a year now.
If you are still using it, we encourage you strongly to switch to a better supported Kodi OS variant.
My suggestion would be to contact either the Plex OpenPHT forum and/or the OSMC forum and submit your Vero trouble(s).

Wowsers... the cable may be 1 problem, but there are other problems as well.
I hadn't looked at your log file until now. And low and behold, there are several repositories (and subsequent add-ons no doubt)installed, that are considered 'banned by Team Kodi. So, no further support will be given until you have presented a clean Kodi setup to us.
Should that be a problem for you, then we wish you lots of success of finding support outside the LibreELEC and Kodi forums.
Initial tests with AMD Ryzen have been done with mixed results, but AMD requires a fairly new (if not latest) Linux kernel, and LibreELEC is not upto that level (yet).
There is still no crystal ball available here, so please start with providing a kodi.log file (via pastebin). Perhaps there is something obvious being overlooked.

I added sudo in case you formatted the drive in an Ubuntu terminal session. No need for sudo in LibreELEC indeed, since it doesn't even understand the command.
