well my wifi did disconnect mid way through a movie yesterday and it caused my NUC to freeze so had to reboot after bringing wifi back.
if that caused DB on my NAS to get corrupt then would that be a cause?
Also easy way to fix that?
Disable all your addons, reboot and try again.
After that, enable them one by one and try again.
Ok will try that and re post but this was working fine 2 days ago. Only started yesterday. No new addons.

Since yesterday after boot my NUC does its usually library clean which takes 5 mins to complete instead of usual 1.5 mins.
Then Movie library update gets stuck on 0% for 5 mins before starting as normal.

Running version 8.0.2, same issue on 8.1.0 but reverted back as that had IR remote issues.

If it works fine on other Linux distro then can it not be a issue fixed by kernel patches?
Hi all,
I have had a lot of problems getting LE to boot properly using USB 3.0 flash drives and Hard Drives.
Is there any kernel related updates that could help solve these issues as a lot of people have this issue.
This is on the x86 platform mainly Intel based.
Ubunu and Debian seem to run fine off USB3 so could be kernel related.

You shouldn't need one - if windows 10 has activated once on a machine it's logged by some trickery with microsoft.
On subsequent installs it should all happen automatically.
Download the media creation tool, install to a usb stick (carefully) and boot the nuc with that. If you're asked for activation just choose 'skip'.

It sounds like you selected the wrong target device during installation of LibreELEC.If your NUC now boots LibreELEC from eMMC and without the USB stick inserted, then you are out luck and your Windows installation has gone to heaven. In which case, you will have no other choice than to reinstall Windows.

I had a new NUC which had windows 10 on emmc memory.
I installed Libreelec onto a USB drive but now I cant boot into windows anymore. It only boots libreelec.
How do I boot into windows now?

In my case for LibreELEC i prefer using a USB2.0 port from the motherboard, i get less problem.
As for the USB drive, USB2 or 3.0 don't make any difference now.Try messing around with "xhci/ehci hand-off" in Bios

I dont really want to mess about and change the ports to usb 2 via motherboard.
Might break it as small boards and me dont mix well ha ha
Just ordered a SD card instead so will install on there to try to see if it helps and will check xhci too.

Try disabling Fast boot in Bios and switch to "Legacy" or "UEFI" only.
Fast boot already disabled.
Switching to Leagacy or UEFI only dont make any difference.
Is there known issue with USB 3 sticks for installing it on?

I have a Apollo Lake NUC and have installed latest beta of LE on a USB drive.
First boot after install was fine.
However next day after a cold boot it boots and I see "Error in mount_flash mount common cannot mount LABEL=System"
Only way to boot is to reboot 2-3 times and then it boots.
This has happened for past 3 days.
BIOS set to both EFI and Legacy.
Any suggestions?
Kodi should adjust the resolution if you configure the settings for it.
When you change the input source on your TV it doesn't show you the resolution of the input?

Your NUC is still new hardware i guess with time better firmware support and drivers will come out.
Tell us about the video playback on your NUC when you get to test it.
Playback is good.
Not tried hevc 10 bit yet though.
My TV don't display input resolution sadly so don't know if kodi is adjusting resolution on videos or not. Or this only feature in windows version?
All working well apart from wifi speeds!
On 5ghz getting only 25mb connection.
Need to wait for linux firmware updates prob.

That could be the problem, do you have other USB drives(USB2/USB3)
What is your NUC model's, it should have a USB 2.0 headers on the mainboard.
If that was the case would the SD card not have worked?
I have tried USB2 drive but same issue.
The nuc is NUC6CAYS.
I just tried it on my laptop and exact same error.
So its deffo not my NUC.
it wont boot anywhere.
Try a different USB port, starting with a USB 2.0.
Dont have any USB2 ports on the new NUC.
Tried all ports even SD card.
