Frankly I don't believe you.
Why do You insult me ? I have no reason to lie.

I don't know which CE versions you tried
I tested today - CE 8.95.7
Tested some UHD samples
ok_Sony_4K_HDR_Camp, Sony Mont Blanc HDR UHD 4K Demo, Sony Swordsmith HDR UHD 4K Demo
all with buffering issues running CE/KODI18 using wired Gb network
Files playing without buffering issues running LE/KODI17.6
Why didn't you answear my question: Can LE 8.2.5 play those samples with proper frame rate, proper color space switching and proper resolution?
The answer is Yes.
I made some test, KODI18 is not perfekt.
LE running KODI17.6 - all my UHD videos playing without issues
CE running KODI18 - most of my UHD videos have issues - I have to modify the whitelist
Many videos(UHD) are not playing smooth using KODI18(CE)
All videos(UHD) playing smooth using KODI17.6(LE)
Same box(vorke z6), just booting CE/LE from different SD-cards.
I will stay on LE until final(stable) KODI18.6
ist there a solution?
Use native Amazon App on Your TV or Amazon Fire Stick/Box
You run 'installoninternal' on Your own risk
Make SURE you have the original Android Firmware for your box and you know how to use Amlogic Burning Tool.
??? I don't know what are you talking about
I´m talking about CE 8.95.6 on my S912 box - faulty
Same box running LE 8.2.5 - not faulty
So what You are talking about ?
I really appreciate wrxtasy hard work but in my opinion it's time to move. CoreELEC is almost ready and works just better and faster.
CE is almost not stable and faulty.
I checked up with some testvideos (LG_Chess_HDR, Sony_swordsmith ....)
None of these videos could be played with CE/KODI18
All of these videos could be played with LE/KODI17.6
Better stay on stable LE8 until there is a stable version of LE9 in the future
No stutter playing this file using my S912
2. As the main usage of these boxes is to stream video, and the issue I have described is related to streaming, why are AML products being recommended when this bug clearly interferes with the boxes main purpose? Sorry, but I just don't get it
My AML products are working fine 24/7
But, I only stream video/audio from NAS via ethernet cable - I do this every day - UHD/HDR everything works fine
Don´t use tons of addons and I never will use TVH.
If I want to watch TV I use my 50€ dreambox SAT-receiver
Most(not all) of this cheap AML boxes need better cooling to run 24/7.
You reported several reboots after a few hours - I believe Your device needs better cooling
Many users expect to much. An AML box is not a HTPC and it´s not a high-end multimedia hardware
First You have to learn how to execute commands in Linux shell
.tar is only for update.
You can flash an image file first run the image and do the update placing .tar file in update folder and reboot
Why??
I can't play 4K UHD ISO files ,but KODI 18 is OK.
I can play UHD & HDR files.
Maybe some ISO files are not playing, but You said "KODI 17.6 don't play 4K UHD" and this is wrong.
BTW:
KODI 18 is not stable
KODI 17.6 don't play 4K UHD.
You are wrong
Try Rufus to prepare the SD card
If you fully understand what will happen when you run it then "installtointernal" is a perfect way to run your box.
I understand fully, I´m IT professional and I´m able to use tools like Amlogic USB burning tool.
But a lot of users don´t know about the risk.
They believe after installation on internal eMMc kodi will run faster and they save money.
Then they want to upgrade KODI 17 to KODI 18 .... and Banggg
I´m running some boxes with stable LE 8.2 on SD card as my daily driver.
And i own a vorke z6 box just for fun and testing CE alpha versions running on SD cards.
If I had LE on internal memory the way to KODI 18(CE) on internal would be no easy way
This is why 'installoninternal' is a very bad idea
I just want to keep the android option for this box, while still enjoying kodi at 1080p.
KODI works @1080p and more running LE.
Dual boot is standard running LE from SD
