Herman, why don´t You run LE from SD card ?
So much trouble, for what ?
Only to use the SD card slot as a HDD ?

Device tree depends on hardware - SoC seems to be the S905W
Version 1 = [8.2.2.2] LibreELEC 8.2 for S905/S905X
Version 2 = [8.90.0] LibreELEC 9.0 Pre-Alpha for S905/S905X/S912
Just try to install on SD card until it works
I see the Video buffering but when the video continues the buffer is gone and loading again. its a bit crazy
First thing to do in this case:
connect external HDD directly at the box and check it out
It depends on attached device and if it´s switched on or off
At my old FHD TV it shows ->
LibreELEC (community): 8.2.2.2 (S905.arm)
905X-AZ:~ # cat /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/dc_cap
444,8bit
422,8bit
rgb,8bit
Special case at my Sony TV
If TV is switched off ->
S912:~ # cat /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/dc_cap
rgb,8bit
If TV is switched on ->
S912:~ # cat /sys/class/amhdmitx/amhdmitx0/dc_cap
420,10bit
420,8bit
444,10bit
444,8bit
422,10bit
422,8bit
rgb,10bit
rgb,8bit
Fast ethernet should be ->
Speed: 100Mb/s
Duplex: Full
Gb Network should be ->
Speed: 1000Mb/s
Duplex: Full
100Mb/sec is to slow -> check cable and switchport
If the source quality is very high and the internet speed is slowed down, the video starts to stutter.
You are sure this caused by LE ?
Type ethtool eth0 via ssh
Are there any devices with a good Kodi integrated Netflix/Amazon experience, that don't require switching to Android?
No, it´s not possible without android.
Fast ethernet should look like this:
[ 4] 0.00-1.00 sec 10.7 MBytes 89.5 Mbits/sec 12 24.0 KBytes
[ 4] 1.00-2.00 sec 10.9 MBytes 91.4 Mbits/sec 12 26.9 KBytes
[ 4] 2.00-3.00 sec 11.1 MBytes 92.8 Mbits/sec 14 25.5 KBytes
[ 4] 3.00-4.00 sec 11.1 MBytes 92.9 Mbits/sec 13 22.6 KBytes
[ 4] 4.00-5.00 sec 11.2 MBytes 93.6 Mbits/sec 13 22.6 KBytes
[ 4] 5.00-6.00 sec 11.2 MBytes 94.1 Mbits/sec 12 31.1 KBytes
[ 4] 6.00-7.00 sec 11.4 MBytes 95.5 Mbits/sec 0 74.9 KBytes
[ 4] 7.00-8.00 sec 11.5 MBytes 96.3 Mbits/sec 0 100 KBytes
[ 4] 8.00-9.00 sec 11.2 MBytes 93.8 Mbits/sec 0 120 KBytes
[ 4] 9.00-10.00 sec 11.4 MBytes 95.4 Mbits/sec 0 137 KBytes
Did You try iperf running on other devices like PC, Notebook, NAS etc. ?
does anybody know how to fix lan speed problem? i used static ip and dhcp both the same.
LAN speed is no problem in LE - check Your network first
A good test is using iperf
i tested network speed .. 2000 kb/s and wlan have only 400 kb/s .. thats so slow and i dont know why its so slow.
Most wlan chips in amlogic boxes are not sooo fast.
The wlan chip in my notebook(killer 1535) costs more than most amlogix boxes.
The Coolest, 'Tim_Taylor':
When i set manuelly set 444 10bit then the outbut show this, but i will see what set the "auto detect"?
Look at info menue of TV or AVR - it will show some information.
My TV and my AVR shows the information and in my case a can use LE without manual settings like 444,10Bit
Should i change any setting?
Yes.
Use a wired network and all videos will play without slowdown or stuttering
In fact most 4K is nothing but marketing smoke and mirrors from TV manufacturers .
Yes, I agree.
But ...
If You want a really good TV, You have to buy an expensive 4k TV(not a cheap one)
And ...
If You want cinema feeling - use UHD bluray and AVR
If You watch this forum, most people want to look IPTV, Youtube, netflix or amazon stream, connect old analog TV at amlogic box etc.....
with hope to get a perfect working multimedia box for the price of a McDonalds menue
Just my 2 cents
it does get an IP address but it does take a while (Sometimes I get a 169.. IP number
gxm_q200_3g.dtb or gxm_q200_k3_pro.dtb and renamed to dtb.img - none seem to work. I've tried gxm_q201_3g.dtb as well (100 ethernet)
169.x.x.x is a default IP if DHCP fails
Try another dtb file, 2Gb version should work
what do i have to do to boot back up to LE after the firmware update without having to do a clean install thanks.
1. shutdown box
2. remove sd card
3. power on and install firmware update
4. shutdown box and insert sd card again
5. power on - toothpick or another method to enable reboot from sd car
6. reboot from LE
