One other strange thing: if I SSH to the box, the command xrandr is not recognized. Is this also due to the device tree?
The command xrandr is used by X11 or Wayland server - not in LE

In kodi I set only passthrough - no 5.1 or 7.1
Yes, it works - checked with my ears
The pre aplha version is not stable yet - box need a lot of reboots after viewing any video - Version 8.9.x.x is just for testing
I will use the stable Version until Release stable LE 9.
BTW:
My best box is apple 4k tv running MrMc

Because to me it seems like it doesn't really support dolby atmos at al...
For me dolby atmos work and is displayed by avr - but alpha versions are not stable - I went back to 8.2.x.x

My vorke Z6 has no heating issue using stable version LE 8.2.2.3 running 24/7
Display works using pre alpha LE 8.9 but this version isn´t stable yet.

The dtb is the standard dtb gxm_q200_3g.dtb
There is a new 8.90 Version [8.90.4] LibreELEC 9.0 Alpha for S905/S912 devices
It´s a hard work to get remote working - I stay at 8.2.2.3 for a long time

I believe it´s why TV doesn´t support HDR

Most video files will be good, but not all.
I also used raspi in the past.
Now I own 4k TV and bought amlogic S905X & S912 and can´t confirm worse quality playing most of my movies(720p, 1080p and UHD)
