my current box is a Mecool S8S Pro Plus which with its 905X and libreelec 8.90.5 happily plays 4k HDR and 720p Netflix, but lacks of the gigabit LAN which causes some problems with high bitrate content.
Dont´t buy a new box - try USB Gb adapter and high bitrate 4k playback will be smooth
I also own the Vorke Z6 - working fine - I don´t use Netflix or live Tv via box - my TV plays Netflix
I don't believe what all my cards have bad blocks, some of them are new one.
I believe it´s caused by internal card reader.
You can try USB pen or buy a new box(best choice)

I made a crosscheck.
S905X box using internal 100MBit and external USB Gb
NFS share OS mount.
Results:
100Mbit - stuttering
1Gb - smooth
Conclusion:
My S905X box has a bad internal ethernet interface 
My external USB 1Gb adapter is working well

Did a few tests stream TV on amlogic and after I was very disappointed I stopped to waste my time
