I don't know if it can be done with this ES binary... My bets are on editing es_systems.cfg's command line removing core name and then editing your favorites gamelist.xml and adding core name before rom path. The idea is that this addon launches retroarch like this:

/storage/.kodi/addons/game.retroarch/addon.start core_name path/to/the/rom.zip ES

and es_systems makes the call like this:

<command>/storage/.kodi/addons/game.retroarch/addon.start fceumm %ROM% ES</command>

and gets %ROM% variable from gamelist.xml. So if you add the core in gameslist.xml as I said, adn you remove corename from command line, maybe, it will work.... just maybe...

I know that modded ES from retropie or recalbox can achieve this but I really don't know how it works...

You can grab dolphin core from Lakka sd card and paste in Libreelec installation to test if works ok.

Also you can grab retroarch binary from lakka and rename it and paste ir into retroarch addon folder, then retroarch addon will show lakka options in menu but you can try if performance is ok.

Finally, overclock settings may change from Lakka to LE.

I mean it could be an issue with AEL offline scrapper that changes year and title for Megadrive. I need to take a look but if it is an AEL's issue we must wait until developer fixes it.

OK, the problem was repo AEL was a beta, now you can install the final 0.9.7 release. Better uninstall previous one the force repo update and install it.

After AEL installation go to "AEL settings → I/O → Import category/launcher configuration..." and you can select all systems you want to use.

It worked for me right now in my RPi 3 in a fresh new LE installation.

What error you got when importing NEX.xml?

any config xml is working for you?

what AEL addon version are you using?

I can not remembre right now but maybe you need to set missing folders in AEL settings before import.

Also, kodi.log can be useful in this case.

that file should not be used... It should be "Gamestarter - Category assets.xml" but I can see that file is not ok. So you can try importing each system you need, one by one.

Does it happen with every overlay?

Did you try switching off mouse and touch options in retroarch?

I have never use an overlay so I cant help you, sorry...

Dont know why? On the net i read that the j3455 have enough speed for gaming

I guess this is because you are using Libretro's dolphin core, maybe using standalone dolphin emulator it will improve performance but I can not help you with that, sorry...

Same here. I think is something related with a kernel update and V4L.

We have nothing to do here but waiting for developers... I don't know if LE addon developer can do anything about this or just can wait also until Hyperion team developers make their move...

I must stay in LE8 and miss Netflix addon, it is better than having Nextflix addon but missing hyperion. Ambilight is the main reason I continue using my pi.

That documentation is for Dosbox standalone emulator not for Libretro's core. I don't use this core and I really don't know how to fix your issue, but you can start taking a look over here: Lakka documentation - DOSBox

Maybe, those config files must be placed in /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/game.retroarch/config

I dont think so. I tried latest 1.6.9, previous 1.6.7 and old 1.6.4 and it happens in all of the them... What I didnt try is using LE previous release, maybe it is something related with some LE update... I need to try it.

if you came from old all-in-one addon you will need to clean your userdata folder (backup your files) and make repo and addons fresh installation. If it does not find any rom check where it is looking for roms, maybe roms path is different...

I remember another user had same issue some months ago but I don't know If he/she could solve it... Did you try by changing xmb background opacity? You can change background color and check if thumbnail color also changes. Did you try using thumbnails instead of boxarts?

I really don't know, these are just the firts things that came to my head...

Then, rename it and paste it in your gamestarter addon bin folder. Maybe you will need to download some libs.
