Yes my tree is up to date with the latest alpha. "Doesn't work" is not a proper error report. Do you mean that you compiled ES with my tree and tried using it elsewhere? Or did you boot the latest build and get the same kernel panic as the rest (read the last posts)?
I've uploaded a new cleanly built 20161225 for the RPi, please test. No changes other than rebasing my commits on latest alpha10.

I'm seeing the same thing but only on my cherry trail device. On my NUC with haswell VNC works fine. I've excluded the DDX driver as I tried switching to modesetting with no change. Could be some change in Kodi, but that sounds weird as it works on haswell. Mesa perhaps?

You didn't include the full output, so I don't even know what package is building. The library is in your toolchain though, libreadline is provided by netbsd-curses and used by several packages. What distribution are you using? I'm building on Arch.
As for the Pi issues, I guess it could be gcc as it's the only relevant change. I wouldn't think it could cause such problems but can't exclude it either. I'll do a rebuild with 6.2.

No Pi is for suck. Really, it was never designed as a HTPC. It's a hobby board for enthusiasts. Sure it can play videos fine, but it can't even render the Kodi GUI without lag.
The Tronsmart Ara X5 Plus is promising, I've been setting one up as a christmas gift. It's a cherry trail device so the Linux support is not 100% mature, but at this point it's working very well. It's got an Intel 3160 BT/wifi module that supports 802.11ac and doesn't completely suck like the RPi's. You can order it with free shipping at $100 but I heard it's often discounted to $80. Which is around what you'd pay for an RPi3 with casing, SD card and PSU.

You can put them whereever you want. The openvpn binary is in your path and the normal documentation for openvpn applies. For starting automatically you can create a systemd unit in /storage/.config/system.d, there's even an example there you can look at.

No, I sold it off because I think it's dog slow compared to Intel boxes at the same price point. I probably won't get anything with an ARM cpu again. Good thing that I don't require you to like me then
EDIT: All builds are done and uploaded. Merry christmas!
Kinda hard to help you without the error output.

I'm quite sure there's been another thread about this where someone posted an udev script to automatically switch to bluetooth speakers. Try searching

Or install Chromium addon.

This build is based on the master branch, which is a moving target. The Kodi version in master has been upgraded as alpha10 draws near, so I've started a rebuild. Hopefully that will solve the addon issues you are having, although as mentioned I am running 20161219 myself and I have no problems with addons. I have just verified by downloading the "Playstation Controller" successfully from the Kodi game add-ons repo.
EDIT: I see now, the LE repo and the Kodi repo work fine but the "Kodi game add-on repository (alpha)" one doesn't. I think the SSL connect error in the log is misleading, probably the repo isn't compatible with master (yet).

I don't even know what that is and why it should be in my build
No, that's how a patch looks like. Not sure what you mean as Emulationstation shortcut is already there on the main menu. Keyboard shortcuts to different applications are on the first page, normally you can quit emulators with F1, F12 or ESC (dolphin).
Works fine here on two different boxes.
