This means the Armbian image is using the Rockchip 4.4 vendor kernel. LE has no interest in that kernel. I'll let others comment on whether there is any usable mainline kernel support.
The post has two images of Armbian. One based on the Rockchips kernel and another in the mainline kernel. If I'm not mistaken.

Can you see if bluetooth works? By reading dtech's first post, the H18Q version might not have bluetooth support built-in, but the MK808B does support bluetooth on the original Android firmware.
If the H18Q build doesn't support bluetooth, then perhaps dtech can make a build that supports MXQ, I read an older LE8 MXQ build has bluetooth working: RE: [8.2.3.1] LibreELEC 8.0 for S805

Burn image on the SD with Rufus. Introducing the SD in the MK808B Plus, press the RESET button to start the image and start. I did not do anything else.

Burned via ddThe default uEnv.txt is using "/dtb/amlogic/meson-gxbb-wetek-play2.dtb", which is starting, but the Remote is not working, LAN is not connecting and everything seems laggy. Since I've used "gxbb_p201.dtb" before, I expected "/dtb/amlogic/meson-gxbb-p201.dtb" to work for me, but it keeps generating the error from above.
What am I doing wrong? The SD card doesn't seem to be broken, since flashing the old LibreELEC 8.2 works perfectly.
That tvbox looks like a clone of some mecool. Try the dtb that most closely matches your tvbox.
Have you implemented the latest changes for panfrost for the s912? Experimental Panfrost GLES 3.0 support has landed in Mesa

For my part, it seems like a bad buy. Having available the s905x2 and s905x3, than a newer chipset. And they are almost the same price, even cheaper.
In addition to the S912, they did not release the GPU driver. Although it is working on an open source driver, bifrost.
Is this still the latest build for S905X boxes? I think last time I updated it was january. Does anyone work on migrating Libreelec 9.2 to S905 devices?
There will be no more updates to libreelec 9 with kernel 3.14.

- Amlogic S905 or newer (what processor is the most future proof?)
- Minimal 4 GB RAM
- Preferably 1000Mbps LAN + Wifi
- SPDIF sound output
- Box what can output Dolby TrueHD en DTS-HD Master Audio
- For the future, 4K TV support?
What box do you guys advice?
If you want a minimum of 4 GB of ram, you will have to look at an s905x2, s905x3 and s922. Currently the s905x3 is not compatible with any distro of * Elec.

As far as I can tell it's somewhat based/cherry picked on older packages of my fork so I can't tell how recent the packages are. In theory the RPi4 should be handled like any other mesa based build but all libretro cores probably have to be adjusted for armv8-a. Of course these flags were set by the project before but I'm not sure if they were overwritten by RPi platform flags.
Btw. can you test my PR if it works for you? Makefile: added devices for Amlogic & Rockchip platforms by 5schatten · Pull Request #74 · libretro/mupen64plus-libretro-nx · GitHubI guess once it works and is ready for common usage he'll post some code to compile it on Linux too.

A question, balbes150 Would it be possible to activate the RTW88 driver to test it on my tanix (does it have the RTL8822)? Since I have seen that you have it disabled in the compilation, in this file:

All dtb, they give me the same result, they do not get ip. Less "meson-g12a-u200.dtb" that does not give an image and I can not verify it.
What model of TV box ? What is DTB ? I checked on VIM1 VIM2 to make a copy and the installation work correctly. I found a problem with recovery (the process does not complete).

Try all DTB options g12*.
I've tried all of them, and none of them work with ethernet. Including the odroid n2 that uses the same ethernet chipset.
P.D: The tests are done with the build LibreELEC-AMLG12.arm-9.80-devel-20190709172241-893dd58-s905x2.img.gz with the different dtb in the device_tree directory(both g12a * and g12b *), modifying the unev.ini file. . What more data can you use to facilitate the work?

Results:
- Boots
- Working remote with your configuration
- Audio HDMI working
- Ethernet not working, it does not get ip from the dhpc and even if you put the ip manually it does not work. (When the dhcp is on ethernet, take an ip 169.254.167.*. As seen in the photo I attached)
- HEVC crahes (known issue)
- No WiFi and bluetooth
