Seems you can nibble a taste of both and see which you like better.

My PI3 runs 11.0.5 just fine. You'll find as current in the downloads.

I'm somewhat of a stranger in a foreign land when it comes to Linux speak but after several attempts to edit the Pointer.xml file I was rewarded with cursor 2 X the original size so a win. Nothing blew up and seems a straight forward edit of the pixel variables (I'm assuming) did exactly what I wanted. I use the original skin Confluence but I reckon each skin uses a similar file.
The Pointer.xml file is read only so steps to unlock the file and also take ownership were required. A bit more involved than I expected but I managed. The file is located here:
/media/user/Storage/.kodi/addons/skin.confluence/720p/Pointer.xml
The size of 32 was replaced with 64 in all occurrences. 8 total.

I'd vote for the Pi5 and will be getting one myself soon as they're available towards end of this month. If you're looking for a dual purpose system for your HTPC you might also consider and Intel I3 system with plenty of horsepower for LE and pretty much trouble free operation. Likely gonna put the price tag around four to five hundred but will serve ya well for a long time. Runs win10 or 11 on a separate SSD when I'm not running LE so a like a 2fur. Kinda depends on your budget.

Doc Emmet Brown's reaction comes to mind.....1.21 gigawatts??
83" TV? That's one big a** TV and sound system to boot!
Jo wins bragging rights for 2024 [so far.]

Thanks. I did locate the xml file and took a look. If I get really adventurous I might edit some of the apparent size variables and see if I can manage to not blow up the system.

I'm surprised at the attention this issue attracted. I for one vote to use the ext4 system for all things LE and be done with it. Windows to Apple to Windows comes to mind and maybe sometimes works but never really a solid solution. All these years LE has been a solid trusted build and dinking with the windows file system seem to me a waste of resources. Maybe I'll think differently once all my drives are converted to ext4 but unlikely. Just my two pence.

Offhand I might venture to say you're using the wrong password or possibly you did not enable SSH at install of LE. Just a guess. That failed to play message may be due to a file error. I have also found filenames perfectly legal in Linux that cause issues with Window file systems. Especially () and ' I found in mp3 files and sometimes in movie titles.
Also there is a Kodi log viewer in the Kodi Repository.

Yes. Generic - Legacy build 11-29 is what I'm using. Glad I could help.

Thanks mglae. So if I understand a variable or data in pointer.xml will produce a size change? If so how might I do that?

Upgrading is always a challenge in this hobby. My best advice is buy a few thumbdrives and test before using your main system. I have a nice I3 HTPC for my main system running LE11.0 and will likely update once I know everything I need to use works. Keep in mind LE is constantly changing and improving so keep informed by checking in here and by all means help support the project with a donation.
You can download the chrome installer here:
You install from zip file just like any addon. It will take care of the rest.
As for the Custom Audio Device my experience has shown the setting is more dependent upon the HDMI configuration of your TV or monitor. Some of my TVs require the setting and some do not. As for the audio in chrome the process is somewhat involved and I passed on the effort. Some sites on Chrome that have their own audio controls just will not work properly and some even cause browser errors. What I have found that works for me is after launching Chrome I go to YouTube and play any site that has audio. That seems to kick start the Chrome audio system. After that most sites will play fine. Kinda hokey to do every time ya start Chrome I know but seems to work so take it or leave it.
On the bluetooth issue that's above my paygrade.

Well it was bound to happen. Age has caught up with my eyesight and small things get hard to see like the cursor in Kodi. I was able to install a Chrome extension which works pretty well but curious if the Kodi system cursor might be adjusted? Perhaps a patch or something to scale it up a bit at least till they fix my cataract?

I saw this event before when updating my HTPC to V11.0. I made a test system on a 16gb Sandisk usb stick 11-30 nightly build generic/ legacy. I plugged in another usb (fat32) stick with my mp3 files and the system does not issue a notice but does report safely removed message when removed. This is probably related to the HD problems with NTFS drives from last year. Pretty easy to duplicate with two usb drives. I tried to get a log file to share but get "Failed to paste log files." I might try a later build and see if the condition continues.
One other thing I ran across is file naming difference Linux/Windows. A few of my Linux mp3 filenames had illegal filename characters and causes some headaches trying to move/copy from LE to USB drives. So far these three showed up "(" ")" and "'"

I thought I might offer this info to TI as he seems to have issues with 11.03 and Chrome. I installed LE12.0 Legacy (nightly11-29) on a usb drive and found it was unable to access the Libreelec Repository. I was able to find a copy of Chrome 11.80.5.0 and installed it. I did not need to use the custom audio setting. I've tested the build on two Intel machines, One AMD laptop along with two Sony LED TVs with no issues. Once again LE keeps getting better and better. Thanks team!

Thanks for the input. I looked at the powerline devices as well and from what I read the best performance is when the send/rec boxes are on the same circuit. Results vary from stellar to medium depending on what other devices are on the system. I'd hate to think my internet would take a hit when the wife plugged in her monster vacuums. Ouch!

I thought I might share my experience to help anyone having wifi blues with Kodi. Certainly wifi is simple solution to connect anywhere around the home or office but not without it's downside. Slow speeds and occasional packet loss and maybe more than just occasional. Just the nature of wifi. I have found the best way to enjoy Kodi is over a cat5 cable hands down. Just moved into a newer home with coax to every room but no easy way to run an ethernet cable. A bit research and I found a solution to share. Ethernet over coax. The unit I purchased came in at just under $100 US but the results are very surprising. One device at each end of the coax and I recorded 270Mbps at the router source 250Mbps at the destination through coax. Way better than I had hoped. There are several units to pick from online and I opted for the Nexuslink GCA-1200 model. Easy to setup and done. Adding additional end units is also possible so as long as the coax is not being used for cable TV a great solution for homes without cat5 connections.

Like I tell my wife " Did you try turning it off and on again?"

I was able to resolve this one but not sure exactly how or why. When I clicked on enter the ssid passphrase it seemed to do nothing. Would not connect although it did show my network. After the third or fourth try I got "Connected" with a star. I don't quite understand but it does work so yay!
