Today i cant connect via Spotify Connect to librespot. I tested my smartphone and tablet, both show me librespot. When i choose librespot it shows "connect..." and thats it. Works few weeks ago, changed nothing in my setup. I try to reboot my Pi, deinstall and install the addon. Nothing help...
Try removing the cache (/storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.librespot/cache).
If that does not work, send a log (journalctl -u service.librespot)
Any Macos Users out there ive all most got this running stumbled at systemd-run ? once found away for mac osx to emulate this then its a matter of the removing the fixed directorys and it will be ready be added !!!! any one want to help !!!!

with output through Kodi it works very well! With Alsa as output device I didn't get it to work.
It would be nice, if the artist/song-information would be transfered for artist slideshow. Is this posible?

Without special sound device (eg DAC) Librespot should play out of the box. Are you using a special sound device, another sound addon, or modified Kodi audio settings? Have you reinstalled Librespot?

Interaction between Librespot and Kodi is minimal (artist/track notification, playback in Kodi mode, stop/start Librespot on Kodi playback).
I have neither the time nor the programming skills to improve this.
I nevertheless repeat my call for Kodi/Python and Librespot/Rust programmers to improve my addon.

I dont know how to install the addon on Libreelec, in my Raspberry Pi 3. I've been reading the forum, but I dont find the way to do it. So if someone could give me the instructions to do it (Im a beginner), I will apreciate it very much.

As you are a beginner, I suggest you to remain with stable LibreELEC (LE 8.2) and Librespot (from the LibreELEC repository).
In LibreELEC, goto Add-ons/Downloads/Services/Librespot.
Then select Librespot on a Spotify app (on your mobile phone, PC, etc)

In LE 9.0, the configuration wizard does not set the output device (you have to set it manually).
This is a bug that I was not yet able to fix.
my configuration is RPi3 with sound output through HDMI.
yes I tried "default:CARD=ALSA" and "PI: HDMI", but I get no sound + output device will not be saved. When I close the configuration menu and open it again I have to reenter the output device
Addon settings were broken in LibreELEC pre eb9ae56.
Addon settings appear broken in Kodi 18: this should be no surprise, as Kodi 18 is still pre-alpha.
But Librespot otherwise works fine on RPi3 with default settings.
To fix:
- make sure you run a recent LE 9 (post eb9ae56)
- nuke Librespot settings.xml (eg, uninstall Librespot and remove related data, re-install Librespot)
- if you really need to update settings, edit the Librespot settings.xml manually.
Should it work with Kodi 18? I still got the problem with the playback device (latest millhouse built)
I will build Librespot for LE9.
Remind me your configuration.
Have you tried to run the addon wihout using the wizard?

Librespot starts but is not selectable on spotify until i go to settings and Disable->enable it ones.
I discovered that if i start like a video and stop it, then it starts to work.
Im using libreelec on android tv-box and didnt got any help of the "sleep 5" thing on my system.
On what file should i put that text?
I already pasted it to two files= \\(mylibreelecname)\Userdata\addon_data\service.librespot\settings.xml and also to my kids profile folder(that autostarts when my android box starts) \\(mylibreelecname)\Userdata\profiles\Lapset\addon_data\service.librespot\settings.xml
What am i doing wrong?
I also tried to paste it like <sleep 5> and sleep 5 and <sleep 10> and sleep 10 and also to the end of the file.
Am i editing the wrong file?
Also, i had to insert my account and password to librespot or else it wasnt accessible at spotify?

The Libreelec is almost freshly installed and not lot of configurations done.
