K1 Plus Combo, internal flash, upgrade from 8.0.0c-I.
First boot after upgrade was clean without problems. Upgraded TVH service + client and rebooted. This time system hangs on S905 Logo. After 15 minutes I have unplugged the power and plugged again. This time clean boot.

DVB-S2 Astra 23,5". Was able to scan far more channels than previously, inc. UHD ones. I think that all ones that I should.

    Big thanks.

K1 Plus Combo, update from previous system to 8.0.0c on microSD card, updated TvHeadend to *.110c.
DVB-S2 with a newcamd client in TvHeadend. HW decoder set for both SD and HD content for all codecs. EPS grab from air.
Tested for about one hour in the morning. Random program change while cleaning the house for several hours. Left alone on one HD channel till evening. Now returned after few hours and further testing.
I observe really fluent program change, no stuttering and random double-video-start observed before. Channel switching is faster. Timeshift stable when pausing randomly, forwarding etc. So far I cannot find any issues.

@afl1 and @kszaq I cannot tell how much I appreciate your effort, good job. I only wish I would be able to help more by other than testing.

    PS:
There is only one sub-minor issue. I have a Samsung smart tv @2015 series 6. Yamaha RX-473 receiver. When receiver is ON, I can control volume on the receiver by TV-remote, AV-remote and K1-remote. HDMI-CEC work excellent. Only when receiver is off as a offline pass-through. The K1-receiver does not control TV volume, only TV-remote does. K1-remote volume buttons does nothing.
When connecting K1 plus directly to TV, situation changes. K1-remote volume buttons controls volume of the K1 box itself.
But I believe that this is an issue of an receiver and-or TV, not the K1 itself. Just a FYI, maybe somebody found how to fix it somehow.

    FYI:
I had many issues before. Slow UI, video stutter etc. My box had only small 10x10x5mm heatsing and the temperature above 80degC made CPU throttling after just few minutes. When I have changed the cooler by much bigger and added 30x30x7mm fan (low profile fits box), all lagging problems went away.

EDIT: one slight problem persist (was present before and still here). Occurred once after many hours of testing. When switched to one particular SD FTA channel "Ocko" video shows only first frame, no audio. After 30 secs I have switched to other channel without any problem and back to "Ocko" which has been played normally again. TVH show no problem and streaming in progress. This is a random error. And I have not been able to see it on any other channel. Maybe it has something to do with a lack of EPG on this channel.

If somebody interested, here is a log: kazafut2017-02-25 22:08:46.708 switching to Ocko -> freezed
2017-02-25 22:09:16.326 switching to Nova Sport 2 HD -> OK

afl1 would be any benefit if we would contribute you to buy a K1 Plus Combo ? I was not aware about the box type you own. So I understand you own a KIII with external DVB-S2 or/and T2 tuner. I will happily chip in $10 for a starter.

    K1 Plus Combo, DVB-S2 only
btw downgraded to beta5N from beta6a and seems like the frame freeze on channel change do not occur anymore. Needs more testing, but in few hours no freeze. Not sure if I should had use 5N1 since there is no reference to in on the first page, only in the discussion.

Reagarding Kodi UI lag: I do not experience such. My SD card is Samsung EVO+ 32GB. If you are using SD card, you should basically use the fastest you can effort. Otherwise run LE from internal Flash. If you're is MMC it should be much faster than any SD card available.
Regarding TvHeadend alternatives. Sure, VDR, or neutrino, you will get support for those here: K1 Plus DVB-S2/T2 [Android] - 4PDA
There is vast number of preview or todo videos on youtube. You can compare your lag with thouse:

Few notes on beta6a. Basically, system is stable for me. But I have occasional stream freeze on SD channels. Have tried both SW and HW decoder and it happens on both, which is strange. One music channel I use frequently freezes on the very first frame with no audio. Zapping up and down helps solve this problem, but it can happen again later when channel is changed. During the freeze the TVH UI shows active stream and I can open this channel in VLC, stays freezed in Kodi. I will try the beta5n later.

    Upgraded to beta6a.
I'm getting a lot of continuity errors, which were not present in the 20161231 version

So far the channels are zapping, but the speed is much slower than I have been used in the 20161231. It's 50/50 good speed <5sec, but sometimes like 8-10sec.
Have to check one more thing, FAV button on the K1 native remote used to open some favorites menu, which I never used, but now it opens a numeric keyboard with "6" pressed instantly.

K1 Plus Combo. Using DVB-S2, newcamd client in tvheadend.
I have been using 8.0-devel-20161231120653 till yesterday. Basically no big problems. Occasional kodi freeze on EPG open. Video problems fixed by disabled HW for SD, etc..

Clean install of beta6. New channel scan. I wanted to do everything from the beginning to test it.
When zapping channels I have random "no signal". Does not depend on the channel encryption. Here is example.
I'm zapping randomly, then switching to "Ocko TV" which is a free channel.

Then opening the stream in the browser, the program is played without any issues.
Then zapping up, and down. The "Ocko TV" is played now.

When this happed the SD has been decoded in SW. Now I have switched the HW decoder for all SD and HD to see if it differ, but seems like an tvheadend/driver issue.

I was about to test properly version 7.95.beta5N, when beta6 appeared. Really good work @afl1, your work is really appreciated.

I wonder how do you update your box ? I'm not sure that I do it the right way. I'm still using a SD cards because of the frequent updates. I have two Samsung 32GB evo cards. Every new version, I took the previous card and prepare a clean installation using a win32diskimager. I backup the actual running one by copying the /storage to my desktop computer. I do not have much customization, so every setting is done manually and then compared to backup-ed configuration. Then I overwrite the tvheadend scans, mappings and fav groups.
My friend pointed, that he's using this official method HOW TO:Update LibreELEC - LibreELEC
Is this method safe for upgrading between the builds in this thread ? Does anybody do it this way ?

    EDIT:
ok, seems like the core problem is not related to the log entries, but rather the TVH server not providing data or other instability.

    @zbigzbig20
Well, as I have written, I'm using 7.0.2.004.4 which is latest Jarvis (Kodi 16.1) based LE with drivers for internal tuner as I believe.
I have played a little with the advancedsettings.xml. Removed some entries which were wrong as I believe. I picked them up at random forums where people stated that this fixed all of the problems, but obvously not :)
I have disabled the "Sync playback to display" because it made the video fps to vary a lot. Since than the fps flow is perfectly stable, but made some other random stuttering, 1 per few minutes in average.

Not sure if I should alter cacheindvdplayer. I can't believe that the Kodi TVH client is so troublesome. If I open the stream on Windows machine using VLC (from the tvh UI) the video is 5seconds ahead the Kodi which is on the same machine and never stutter even after tens of minutes of playback, (as far I didn't noticed). Thanks for any hints.

At first, thank you all for your work.

    Using DVB-S2 internal tuner.

Quite impressed about stability with this combination, but I cannot figure out a balance of stream buffering and zapping speed.
I have read many suggestions about advancedsettings.xml, and I believe that mine is definitely odd.

In Playback / Video I have enabled "Sync playback to display" which eliminated any issues during the actual channel playback. But I still have some issues with zapping.
When channel changes it takes 1-3 seconds I got an still picture and than the buffering starts, after that the video playback starts.
When compare this to the same stream played by an VLC from the TVH, there is about 5 seconds delay in Kodi. I believe that there has to be an option to just let the stream played without any or at least minimum buffer, but I cannot figure out how. I have tried also VDR and it behaves pretty the same.
