no i have never added/done anything else in tvhend backend. in version 7.x it never had an issue. its only been since v8.x onwards that it now doesn't work. the same.

just tried 8.1.0 and still got same issue with default skin? any ideas? thanks

just updated again from 7 to 8.1.0 still has the same issue. any ideas where to look? other then mylix, no one else is seeing this issue? thanks

so does this mean its a bug with the skin or pvr backend/frontend in version 8.x of libreelec, as this issue does not appear in v7.x of librelec?

BUT if i press "ok" again and then select "switch" again it disappears.?

hi just upgraded from 7 to 8.
issue: when i suspend librelec over night, then wake libreelec, tvheadend client says no signal, but if i goto the tvheadend backend its working fine?
can anyone help? did not have this issue with v7

update
did clean install. looks like dont even need over night suspend. just suspended for 15 mins woke it and no signal.

hi just updated to v8.0.
issue is the tv guide does not close/disappear after selecting a channel.
so in tv guide select program then select switch. the channel comes on but the tv guide stays overlayed?

this did not happen in v7s

can anyone help?

Update. just did a clean install of v8
first time it closed the tv guide overlay but each time i selected tv guide and tried to switch stays overlayed.

it has nothing to do with "personal info" or not wanting to go "online", that seems to be your interruption of my question. it comes down to trying to find out how something works and if "I" dont need it can i get rid of it, there is no point having something run if it is no use(to me). i simply find the extra stuff clutters the screen, so was asking for a way to disable it.

the fact that i disable the addon in information providers, then in dependencies find it say enables just seemed odd?

also chewitt thanks for the info about weather was woundering if that could also be turned off, guessing it cannot?(again i dont really need that)

as Klojum was saying use as "standard file browser", but i just need to figure out how to get that, but there are lots of different places/areas/context menus to look and turn things on or off.

did some more hunting(still trying to find my way around). did you mean the "set content"part? found when doing context menu on a folder in video/files, the scrape bit there? if so thanks. helped point me in right direction and google, who new there was a context menu.

just trying to find out info on what externally libreelec is talking to. if they are disabled in informtion providers, why are they still enabled in dependencies?

and if you are saying "they don't do anything while they aren't used", what else is using them? how do i turn it all off?

i just dont need that stuff.

maybe thats not possible? but thats how i would like to use my libreelec if possible.

in add-ons/information providers
i have disable everything in
album - except local(as i cannot disable it - option greyed out)
artist
movie
tv

and if i go into add-ons/system/dependencies
the following as saying enabled. and there is no way to disable, they are all greyed out
all music
fantart.tv
htbackdrops
imdb
musicbrainz
python image
the movie database
theaudiodb

how do i disable all this "stuff".

ok been a few days, and it looks like its settled down. the epg i staying? looks like it works. thank you. still odd there did nto seem to be much of a difference between the 2 settings files?

2. pls post the /storage/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/pvr.hts/settings.xml - after that pls remove it and reboot (reconfigure the pvr.hts addon)

every error looks like some problem server side - did you a clean tvheadend 42 or is it some "update" ?

1. never set the folder for recordings in tvh - is out of box made no changes except to setup the channels
2. file settings-org.xml.zip as requested
3. file settings-after.xml.zip is the file it recreated after i deleted above file

this was an upgrade of my v7.0.1(v7.0.1 was a clean install) to the alpha version(was trying to see if it fixed my issue from
LibreELEC
LibreELEC)

after upgrade when system came up said some add-ons not compitable, it auto-updated some of my add-ons, others i went into add-ons and did auto-update.

added latest logfile, looks like same error still there. looked in tvh server recording set to /storage/recordings
but will need to test further but looks like epg working(staying???)

NOPE spoke to soon. it is keeping the epg but only what is on now and in future. so say you see the epg for 8pm and onwards(there is a show that goes form 8pm to 8:15pm) after i resume or shutdown start and its now 8:16pm the epg does not show the info from the 8pm to 8:15pm it is blank show only from 8:16pm onwards.

yes i have tried the clear data. when i do this the tv guide then just stays blank

start/boot up
look at tv guide
all the epg information is missing

tvheadend backend all data still there.

kodi 17.0-ALPHA2 Git:4e90409
tvheadend 4.2(4.1.1945)
tvhead htsp client 3.3.1
only using over the air epg.

having same issue with alpha version as i was having with v6,v7 (see post LibreELEC)
it has all the logs i started collecting(that i know of not sure if there is somewhere else to collect any other logs) also attached logs from alpha

i did and update of my libreelec. i have done clean installs of v6 and v7 and had the exact same issues doing upgrade.

ok just start up had been shutdown.
started to watch tv within 1min it restart computer.
after boot up i tried to watch tv again selected tv channel clicked ok restarted.

did notice that only 1 log file has been written?

attaching all logs since last time.

incase anyone can help.
