kostaman Can you please try again - preferrably with a clean SD install - .007 and either k1_plus or k2_pro (for 2GB RAM) device tree?

MiniM8s Pro 2g/8g used to test.
I have already gone back to NAND on device. Sorry about that.

Okay i have used the below device trees on NAND install.

k1_plus no wifi at all. No networks showing. Ethernet works.

k2_pro wifi showing but again starts ok then slows and then nothing.

Please note that trying toothpick recovery using both above trees results in frozen boot up logo .
Normal cold boot it boots up.

EDIT : I need to correct the fact i did not do the correct procedure for swapping the device tree to K2_pro.
I previously re named the k2pro to dtb.img and replaced the one on sd card. WRONG.

I have now put the original dtb.img with the recovery.img on sd card.
I have also put the k2_pro on the sd card after renaming it to ledtb.img which is what i should have done before.
Toothpicked into recovery and waited for install (little android robot) and the box rebooted.

Unlike the Successfull SD card test where the wifi was fixed using the k2_pro device tree.
The NAND install of the k2_pro device tree Failed to fix the wifi shutting down.

EDIT: I have done a hard reset and toothpicked recovery. Again wifi shuts off.

BUT I JUST NOTICED THE USB PORT THAT DOESNT WORK USING SD CARD INSTALL IS WORKING IN NAND.
Is it possible the device tree k2_pro has not stuck in this installation ?

EDIT: I now did Fresh install of Android. Then i toothpicked with the same corrected k2_pro letb.img
and the box is stuck on boot logo. So my theory is correct. The k2_pro device tree did not stick or to say install
in my previous attempt when i corrected my error of not naming to ledtb.img.

My summary is regarding NAND install. If you have a working device tree with a bug (eg wifi) and you just swap with another device tree to test it wont have installed.
You may think it did because it booted but it has not.
The only way to install another device tree is to go back to stock Android and re install.
I learnt this because of the USB port was still alive after thinking i installed the k2 _pro over the existing t95n tree which has the wifi off issue.
I knew the k2_pro install on SD card fixed the Wifi but no usb recognised in the one port.
The NAND install USB port was working.
The wifi shut off was still happening as well which was the bug in the existing device tree.
Stuck on boot logo is where i am now.

Flashed stock Android again. Ready to try a fresh NAND Card Install.

Very confusing but i put it out there in case i have missed something.

Hi Kszaq, when r u going to release a Libreelec version for s912 box ?
1GB ram and poor WiFi , old CPU and old GPU has pushed many users to buy new box with S912. Also because of its price.

Budget AMLogic S905/S905X/S912 Media Player Options

Do some reading on the chip choice race . Learn a lot from (above link.)
1gb Ram & Poor Wifi have nothing to do with the chip.
S905 2gb memory is available and wifi 5ghz / ac on one of my s905 boxes is the fastest i have ever seen on
a media box under $60. This particular box has had no issues on LE .007 whereas 2 of my other boxes are experiencing wifi driver conflict with the new Kernel .006 +.
So far in this early development (s905)by kszaq and others it has been lightning progress in my opinion.

kostaman Thank you for a complete report. Can you tell whether WiFi used to work on any pre-006 version - i.e. before kernel update?

I was pretty sure it did BUT for the sake of being 100% sure i wiped and installed
    fresh Android on the MiniM8sPro 2g / 8g
and then SD card LE 005.
I can now confirm WIFI was definitely working perfect on the .005 build

Remote will turn the box off but won't turn it back on.

Confirming same on off issue. That is contributed by Bad U-BOOT from Nexteon.
Not a bug from kszaq build.

    LE 7.0.2.007
Started this thread due to a bug when using Wifi on certain devices.
The issue is that wifi starts off normal but when it is called upon to stream or download it turns off.
This in turn causes the box to lock up and freeze and only unplugging power will restart the box.
Below are some links of the reports of the issue.

    I have tested the MiniM8S Pro & Nexbox A95x 1gb/8gb
Full run down of the issue.

Try and be as precise as possible with the details of your Box as some of these
boxes have very similar to almost the same name.

Meanwhile can you try WiFi with gxbb_p201 device tree? I'm not sure if it'll boot and if it does, it will show only 1GB RAM. Don't worry about that, I only need to know if p201 device tree fixes WiFi issues so that I can port changes to other trees.

Used gxbb_p201 and just plugged in box without going into recovery.
Box booted up as normal and i went into system info to see 1775MB Available.
I thought something might be wrong. I then tried my speediest add-on and it started strong and again fell off a cliff.
    No throughput again same issues.
I then un plugged box and tooth picked recovery but the box froze on boot up logo.
I un plugged re plugged without recovery and it booted up as normal.
Again went through the wifi and memory availability with the same above results.
Swapped back my device tree and tooth picked recovery and it worked again.
Very strange results as far as Device tree workings for this box goes.

You can create a new thread so that we can have all information on that bug in one place.

    Thanks kszaq opened new thread.

Can you try running with gxbb_p200_k1_plus.dtb if this is 1GB RAM box or gxbb_p200_k2_pro.dtb for 2GB RAM? These also have Realtek WiFi connected over SDIO bus and some little changes these trees have might help.

Tried gxbb_p200_k2_pro.dtb as MiniM8S Pro has 2gb ram
Same results no change . I use speedtest Addon and it starts high download speed then falls off a cliff shuts wifi connection down.
Ant thomas is saying 1 minute but it is playing cached stream that is why it is one minute. It is more like 15 seconds. As soon as it is called on it works then shuts down.

EDIT: Just installed 007 to SD Card on the Nexteon A95x 1gb/8gb
Same issues so it looks like this is the 3rd different box with the wifi bug.

kszaq I am not sure if this issue should be moved to a new thread or bug thread ?
Just asking as i am not sure doing that is correct or is it double posting ?
    Thanks again.

The only thing I can find for the MX64 is the following .dtd file from another user on freaktab. I have no zip files for the MX64 but I do have the firmware on my device. However, I can't find the dtb.img file in Android.

    LibreELEC

Your box is virtually the same as my MXmax . I dont have an operative OTG but my remote is the same as the MiniMxg 2g/16g
so the Device tree gxbb_p200_2G_mini_mxg_2_16.dtb works except OTG which i have never asked for a fix.
The device tree for mine is still sitting in thread see above link. The device tree must be the same.

Can you try running with gxbb_p200_k1_plus.dtb if this is 1GB RAM box or gxbb_p200_k2_pro.dtb for 2GB RAM? These also have Realtek WiFi connected over SDIO bus and some little changes these trees have might help.

The WiFi enables as expected and connects. When attempting to watch LiveTV or play something from a network share it works fine for about a minute then the WiFi dies and I'm no longer able to ping the box. Requires unplugging and plugging back in to reboot and get the WiFi back for another minute.

    MiniM8sPro 2G/8GB
    Tested today with 007.

Vanilla Kodi. WIFI ON but not connected to network yet!
I have NO ethernet connected at this stage.
Networks are displaying in LE configurations.
Power off and on via remote tried 3 times WORKS.
Reboot via power menu 3 times WORKS.

Now i have connected to my network via WIFI (again no ethernet cable attached)
I have not tried to play anything yet.
I now did a manual Update of add ons. Went well 2 standard Kodi Updates.
Used reboot from power menu box FROZE. Unplug Replug
Wait for 1 minute. Tried reboot Box FROZE again. Repeated again 3rd time FROZE.
Now i tried to power off box with the remote.
The screen on my TV went Black and the box blue light stayed ON. Pressing the power button
    did nothing.
Unplug Replug Hit power button this time box froze (could see kodi working wheel stuck)
At this stage i cannot connect SMB either. Unplug replug.
Tried 4 times with power button again Box Froze. unplug replug.
Tried reboot again 3 times and it worked until i tried to install an add-on from Kodi Official repo. Nothing would download. All failing. So i have called up wifi to download add-on it failed then tried to reboot FROZE.
OKAY it seems when wifi is called up to download or stream all the reboots and on off freezing occurs afterwards. If you don’t try to stream or download add-ons then ON, OFF, REBOOT all work.
So basically wifi starts and then shuts down.
Once you try to stream or download it disconnects and disappears from network smb as well.
it is showing connected in LE configurations after this but no other network is displayed under connections..

EDIT: With ethernet connected I can go to LE and see both Ethernet and wifi both reading Ready with their own IP Address.
Rebooted 3 times same. Of course the box is working with ethernet plugged in.

Reminder the device tree used for LE on these boxes is not a listed device tree specifically for this box in LE device trees.
    Using the below in testing.

    gxbb_p200_2G_t95n_2g.dtb
    gxbb_p200_2G_t95n_2g.dtb

kszaq PM'D some logs after using speedtest addon where wifi breaks down and disconnects.
No rush as i have exhausted the variables to the point of having no idea what i have achieved.
