Anyone notice freezing with 007?When i exit a video and then click back it seems to freeze regularly.
I have this issue only using the MiniMx 1gb/8gb .
I am running LE.007 Nand.
For some reason this box doesn't perform like my cheaper MiniM8sPro.
Bootup is slower and GUI not as smooth. Random backing out freezes are definitely there.
It was slower using SD Card LE previously as well.
I extracted the dtb myself, and I've used it for months launching Armbian, so I know it is correct.
So there is something missing.... I'll check out the images again and see what I can figure out.
S905 only: Download a device tree, rename it to dtb.img and copy it to main folder of SD card/USB drive - replace the one that's already there.
You missed all of the above. That is why i asked you for all the details of your box previously.
Get it working properly with correct device tree on SD Card LE version first before installing on Nand.
The toothpick method just stalls at the Amlogic logo.
This generally happens when you have used an incompatible device tree for your box.
Can you detail what tree you have used and what version of LE you are trying to flash.
Also supply your specs for the box MXQ Plus ? EG: 1 or 2gb of ram, 8 or 16gb storage and
ethernet 100 or 1000 mb.
Then we may be able to guide you.
I copied the xxx.dtb to for example to backup folder with samba, and dd if=/storage/backup/xxx.dtb of=/dev/dtb bs=256k
(dd if=path_to_new_device_tree of=/dev/dtb bs=256k)
path is "storage" , to is "backup or whatever folder" , xxx.dtb, "the new device tree" and the rest i now get.

Ways to update device tree are disclosed in "To update device tree" OP section.
Just one clarification on updating Device tree after LE to Nand is already installed.
This may occur when trying to test a different device tree in case of an issue.
I interpret the below method as follows: copy the device tree to SD Card and run the command whilst in LE Nand ?
This command will replace the installed device tree with the new one on the sd card ?
alternatively, for internal memory you can run this command: dd if=path_to_new_device_tree of=/dev/dtb bs=256k
My "Generic" builds do not automatically update device tree

I believed this was so but wasn't 100% sure due to my SSH Method after SD Card install to .007
I updated from .006 on NAND to .007 using the img.gz in the update folder without an issue so fa
I am now too asking whether the img.gz copied to the Update Directory replaces the currently working device tree ?

Okay i see there is a piece of the procedure for NAND update missing or is confusing as far as .006 and higher goes.

It is clear from .005 the fresh install is required to update but not sure what happens .006 to .007 .
Wait for kszaq as i am on .007 Nand that was installed via ssh using working SD version.
By "the file", does this mean the .zip or .img.gz?And am I understanding this correctly.. to update from my current devel build (last one before 007), I just need the image file only.. no dtb or other file needed.
Presuming you are running LE from SD Card , use the img.gz as long as the device tree currently used "is working."
Re Boot and the update image will be recognised. Box should update.
First of all, thank you for your great work!I've succesfully installed this version to the nand of my t95m m8s mini pro. Everything works great except for one tiny thing.
That is the remote, allmost all buttons work except for the volume up. And i want to remap the back button. It is now the X button next to te zero button and i want it to be the normal back button.What file do i need to change and where can i find it?

This symptom you describe Dropping CEC has been an issue since OpeELEC .
I know this, because i have been using and testing all kszaq's builds from back then till now.
So take it on board.
Your ambiguous cheap shot comment about me being wrong before is not really necessary.
Myself and long time members try and help anyone we can as kszaq cant be expected to do it all.

Known issues:
CEC might not work when your box has incomplatible u-boot or your TV is not that well supported by Amlogic low-level CEC driver.

kszaq has previously posted it is not his priority to fix NEXBOX shortcomings in their firmware.
the bottleneck of any file operation will always be on the MiniMX side: neither EMMC, SD-card or USB hard drives are fast enough to catch up to gigabit network.
I have to agree with this comment.
I have one of these MiniMx's 1g/8gb (LE on internal memory) and have noticed the eMMC is the slowest out of the boxes i have tested.
The bootup time is where i first noticed the issue. It is not as fast as my cheap MiniM8s Pro.
I dont know if the 2gb ram in the pro makes a difference in my observation.
The ethernet is also slow in waking up a connection when first booting up.
Just putting it out there. Cheers.
Tried that dtb, just results in freeze at the "bios" / S905 splash.

I can not see online video torrent addon plexus with my tv box is a mxv S805 and the version of libreELEC is LibreELEC-S805.HD18Q.arm-7.0.2.5, you can fix that bug?
