Libreelec is working fine on my TX5 Pro 2/16 only no wifi i opened up to check the wifi adapter its a Fn-Link 8223A
any way to get that working or can i do someting ive the android firmware where wifi is working.

    #2

I don't know that wifi chip. kszaq for the drivers on that one.
I have Qualcom in my box.
Might want to read above link. It wont help flashing different Android Firmware as the wifi chip is your issue.

After some more thought i believe it should be Disabled.
I think asking you to supply 2 different system images for every version is not worth it.

Supplying a different system image towards the end of Jarvis might be the solution to please S905x Boxes.

Going forward to Krypton i would leave it Disabled and maybe Enable it as a Special Treat every now and then for S905x Boxes.
The bottom line is, S905 Boxes will no longer have a Temp Reading from now on.

Everybody should be happy with that.
If you're not, Go and Buy a THERMOMETER and stick it where ever you want to take the Temperature.

Since making a Joke about this Temperature Sensor being the possible cause of Freezing back whenever,
I need to get away from this bug and move on. :D

tell users to update their Android firmware - that would leave boxes with outdated/no-newer-version-available firmware frozen

I believe nearly all s905 chip boxes will be left with no Android Updates as the Chinese are all jumping to s905x and newer.
I know my MiniM8sPro s905 is now obsolete as far as trying to buy one so it is good luck with that one.
It will be interesting to see if Beelink updates their Android s905's. Nexbox would be a sure "no way".
The worst thing about all this is the s905 chip can run Marshmallow.
But which seller is going to bother with that ??
I am prepared to flash a working Android s905 firmware that is not for my box and see what happens.
I have done it before. I just cannot see anyone who has a working S905 box with .011. to try it.
If anyone reading this has an s905 box working without a freeze on .011 let us know.
    It's your call kszaq.

    Updated to githash gcb8de5f

First boot up and it Updated with the short noise from speakers during LE logo showing on boot. I am running HDMI from box to TV.

I then did consecutive reboots and stopped at around 20 reboots.

The short noise happened 4 times and the box froze on boot up animation 4 times.
It also froze 2 times with a blank screen after the boot animation.

During these Freezes the box was not visible in my Network.

I am sitting having a beer during a warm 30°C. (celsius) evening and my box is showing
    -1°C. (celsius) temperature reading.
I will get my wife to take my temperature as something is not right. ;)

TBH i'm gonna continue calling it a Beelink MiniMX as i know where it came from and advertised as, as well as i have opened the unit to verify that it is the real deal.

    All good.
Just don't waste your time visiting the Beelink official site looking for this box or firmware as it doesn't exist and never has.
My point is Beelink never released this Box with their Brand on it. Nexteon Board s905 Chip 1gb/8gb 2.4g wifi no Bluetooth.
Real deal is not an issue here. None of these boxes are the real deal is how i look at them.
And to be honest i have both the 1gb/8gb and 2gb/16gb with S905 chips. and i rate them very low in performance.
Wifi is absolute crap and the ethernet randomly refuses to connect on cold boot only.

You might want to remove the sellers you posted too.

hey kostaman are you sure? All the MiniMX boxes 1GB/8GB or Mini MX v1.0 2GB/16GB boxes i have received all have had the teddy bear logo as they are Netxeon manufactured.

    Correct you are.
Just call them Beelink MiniMx Non branded. The Beelink Branded ones have the logo on the casing.
It just helps those trying to help you, identify they have the same box.
I knew your box after you mentioned the Welcome Bear. I have the same box. ;)

    Merry Christmas 2017
Fixed. I have done 30 reboots one after the other without waiting.
    No Freezes.
    I will wait for 64bit release to test MiniM8sPro S905 2gb/8gb
I have my other MiniMx 1gb/8gb Non Branded Beelink running Krypton, so i will report back on that as well when fix is available. :D
    EDIT: Just run SD Card LE githash g3b038ea gxbb_p200_1G_1Gbit.dtb 18-Dec-2016 16:54 39543
on this MiniMx and confirm no Freezes.

When you put it like that, I guess I am NOT really sure about that :s

It was bought from Gear**** advertised as a Beelink MiniMX. The device itself only says Mini MX on the case.
The CPU revision is: 020c (according to LibreELEC system info )

You have a MiniMx Non Branded Version. From now on try to name it as that.
This confusion has been around since the beginning of LE.

LibreELEC-S905.arm-7.0-devel-20170102194735-r23609-g5207357.img.gz froze on cold boot number 10 (leaving at least 1 minute between reboots) on the Mini MX-G

kostaman I don't think that it should make any difference if the box is shutdown immediately or not. Sometimes this happens. If it happens, that shouldn't affect whether the box can boot next time but, just to help check your theory, I have waited at least 1 minute before changing the status of the box ;)

I am probably creating the theory in the hope i am right.
I have convinced myself that when Kodi first boots up successfully , all system processes are being carried out and by disrupting that with a power off or a reboot, it causes the freeze more times than not.
I collected the zipped log in my post via file manager which i see one part in particular below.
I again repeat i am getting desperate to solve this before Christmas and i could be showing early signs of delusional disorder.

I got 18 consecutive reboots without freeze after leaving box on and walking past every 5 to 10 minutes and rebooting whilst i was home.
I rebooted the box straight after it booted up without waiting over 1 minute and it froze the 19th time.

However if you you successfully boot up and WAIT for say 1 minute and then reboot through your power menu you will have a 90% chance of the box booting up.

After that got stuck whether rebooting on booting from off

I can't power off and then on because of the Nexbox A95x s905 not able to power on via remote.

You will have Boot Freeze after a Freeze. It is a Kodi/LE system looking for previous shut down settings.
I could be talking rubbish but there is a pattern as i pointed out in my post above.
I am very confident the issue is with the system not writing correctly when rebooting or powering off.

    Random Freezing
BUT I AM PRETTY SURE I HAVE FOUND WHAT IS CAUSING IT AFTER 4 HOURS OF DIFFERENT VARIABLES
Including making all u-boot variables go back to default values and thus disable SD and USB booting, none of which helped or made any difference.

I can now confidently say that there is a pattern in when the box will freeze.

If you turn off/reboot the box and then immediately turn it off/reboot
YOU WILL GET A FREEZE MOST OF THE TIME.

However if you you successfully boot up and WAIT for say 1 minute and then reboot through your power menu you will have a 90% chance of the box booting up.

I have also picked something up with the Confluence skin now having a new sub-menu tab called Events.
I have no idea when this was introduced as i only just noticed it.
I have opened that tab menu and noticed it always reads that kodi successfully started with the same
    Date 01/01/2015 11:00:13 AM.
UPDATE: To fix the Date to be read properly i went to LE Settings/Network and enabled Wait for network before starting Kodi 10 seconds.

This triggered my suspicion that we have a bug that may be caused by the guisettings.xml file getting corrupted - possibly the system being shut down during a write.
Or kodi thinking this file is corrupted, it fails to replace it with the default and hence a freeze.

The problem i believe is caused during the process of Powering off and Rebooting.
If you wait a minute or more and slowly go through to your power menu and choose reboot,
    the box rarely freezes.
I could be wrong but i hope i am not.

log that may be useful .
