What i know should work is based on the specs of your box.

the information comes from an external IP service. You can change which one is used in settings/debug, last option. If it's not reported, then I can't display it.

Just changed settings to IP-API Now Displays Service Provider.

You have to modify the particular .xml file in that particular skins files.

It happens on my Mac as well so i ignore it.
If you have to know provider look for Speedtest addon and run that.
It will ping server and read out your service provider for that ip.
Weird though as I see others are testing this new build, but I just went to Page 1 of this thread to download it and it is not availabel there

Whatever remote.conf file I copy to the .config directory fails to work - pushing buttons has no effect and I need to ssh, delete the file and reboot to gain control.
I hope you reboot the box after the remote.conf file is copied to the config directory ?
It will only be recognised after the box boots up.
If I had to guess I'd put it here.
/usr/share/kodi/config
SSH Into box and you will see all Directories. Apparently Remote works using my instructions. #2,609

I installed it on nand .... sorry but with the translator I do not understand ... you have my own box and with the version 8.0.0g SD card, the remote control turns on and off the box?
Yes it works using SD Card LE.
905x box with 8.0.1h booted from microsd card the remote works, install it to nand & reboot the remote doesn't work. Tried it 2 times. Strange.
This looks like a bug during installtointernal
Pull SD Card that has LE Installed and copy the remote.conf file using your PC
Then boot the internal LE and paste the file into configfiles folder.
See what that does.
