What would be useful are sticky threads like "read this before posting" which includes description how to get logs etc.

bluetooth headset can connect device, but I can't hear any sound.Did you goto Settings->System->Audio and select bluetooth/pulse as the audio device?

Hi kszaq. I was running your 7.0.3.012 version on my Beelink Mini MX box and wanted to upgrade to 8.0.0c build. I grabbed the .tar file and a new device tree (named it dtb.img) and put them into the Update folder on the box and reboot. Everything looked fine installing but now when it boots up it just gets stuck on the Libreelec screen? I tells me its 8.0.0c build in top left though. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Scroll back in this thread a couple of pages. Sounds like you need to delete the old addon db file as some users have reported.

This is great! Glad to see you here.

I can't find the option to boost the central audio channel. Where is it?Removed in Krypton.

kszaq - You sir, are a mind reader! I was hoping this would show up when I saw it in the recent Kodi commits.
The EDL patch continues to work as expected, have used it 7-8 times a day. The only issue I have had is an occasional freeze after the jump. However, I am having the same occasional freezes from time to time when seeking, resuming from pause and sometimes after frame rate change pauses. consequently, I do NOT think this is related to the EDL patch, but has something to do with seeking behavior in general.
Edit: Upgraded to 8.0.0c and WOW! What a difference in the gui speed, like night and day. Feels almost as snappy as Jarvis was. Too soon to tell if the random freezing is fixed, but so far so good. Excellent upgrade.

same on my end thought my box was overheating
Same here, although it seemed to improve somewhat going from beta6 to 8.0.0b.

I have experienced similar issues with Krypton on my Amlogic devices. In my case at least it appears to be related to Kodi adjusting frame rate.
Try playing around with frame settings in Settings->Player and also hardware acceleration settings.

kszaq - Good news. So far the EDL commercial skip is working beautifully just like on Jarvis. Only played a couple of recordings from this afternoon so far. I will continue to test over the next few days and check back here.
Just FYI my PVR backend is Mythtv 0.28 using the bone stock commflag job.

Any way to identify?Post your log?

Hi.
You can add kernel support for the Bluetooth adapter ID 0a12:0001?
In Linux it works without problems. What's the problem? I have two of those working fine with s805 7.0.3.3x and s905x 7.0.3.012h/7.95-beta6.
-
I was afraid too... hoped that it could be a simple config file and reboot...Grab yourself a cheapo Amlogic s905/s905X box. Kszaq has this patch enabled on his 8.0 builds.
So far it's working just fine. I get passthrough from all sources and haven't had one single problem with livetv going out of sync.

I'll add a backport to test for the next build but I'm not going to PR this to Kodi repo as I can't fully test it.That would be great, I can help with the testing. I use that feature a lot.
I wouldn't waste a bunch of time on it as I expect it will show up on the next kodi 17 bug fix release. It affects recordings from any and all pvr addons so there will be a bunch of noise over at the kodi camp.
-
The fix is huge in terms of modified code and I know very little about how VideoPlayer works. We should leave it to professionals, I'll ask in the PR for backport.
Apparently this is a known Kodi issue, supposedly a PR is in for mainstream. See HERE
I haven't looked for the PR mentioned yet, but apparently v17 final was pushed out with this flaw as a result of a VideoPlayer rollback at the last minute, so not expecting the fix to show up overnight.
-
It's a kodi issue. It's still in v17 final, but a fix is proposed and should make its way in soon. See HERE
-
The PR is for Kodi 18, not 17.That's why I specified "backporting"
-
kszaq - I'm experiencing erratic commercial skipping on recordings from a mythtv backend. Seems to be the same issue discussed HERE.
Could you look into the possibility of backporting this patch into your 8.0 builds? -> VideoPlayer: fix edl skipping by FernetMenta · Pull Request #11646 · xbmc/xbmc · GitHub
Apparently Millhouse has it working in his RPI build?
