Hi, I'm considering ditching Libreelec as my server simply because there is no oscam-emu addon updated?
Is it possible the oscam that comes with libreelec will turn into oscam-emu for the sake of being up to date
-
hi bite_your_idols , let me get this right.
If I install clean libreelec or 'upgrade' . I can follow instructions on this repository:
GitHub - bite-your-idols/Gamestarter: Retrogaming kodi add-on repository for LibreELEC
and play games on Generic libreelec install ?

escalade - pretty sure the genesis core doesn't work with the may 19 build. might be worth updating
I updated using core downloader to this one and runs everything: genesis_plus_gx_libretro.so

1. It's based on LE8, but has lots of changes. All the drivers are included, also I use an updated display driver stack (i.e. updated mesa and kernel).
2. No.
3. I have the same issue some times, switching to a different source on the AVR and then back gives me back the picture though. I believe this bug is with the intel ddx driver, possibly a workaround could be to use the X.org modesetting driver. Or disable the use of KMS as described on the first page.
ok man, this fixed blank screen issues when exiting retroarch: (smaller res on older TV's (4:3?)
retroarch.cfg:
video_fullscreen = "true"
change to
video_fullscreen = "false"
Games will still be in fullscreen
Also made sure the kodi system - display is set to HDMI0 instead of just saying default.
but this should have nothing to do with it really cos it's not even touching kodi cos just emulationstation <-> retroarch

escalade - Q: is your build same as LibreELEC 8.0 line. Will it have all the same dvb drivers etc.
Q: can u auto update ?
Q: why would the TV not come back on after exiting retroarch , mode setting issue ? It's one of those weird semi-HD TV's w/ strange reso

Has anyone looked at adding the "Emulators" menu item to the Confluence skin that can be retrofitted on Kodi 17?I'm not a big fan of Estuary and have switched most of my LibreELEC V8 systems back to Confluence - but I can't see how to use Confluence to launch EmulationStation on the Community build.
(I'm on a generic x86_64 build)Thanks.
You can add it via a custom menu command anyway with almost all skins.
Think Aeon Nox's menu where you add menu items to the menu with custom commandsAdd another menu item called Emulators = XBMC.System.Exec(/usr/bin/emulationstation.sh)
Then add a submenu under Emulators called RetroArch with custom command = XBMC.System.Exec(/usr/bin/retroarch.start)
this way you can access retroarch easier -
escalade - do these builds of yours include all the standard libreelec stuff like the dvb drivers etc that come built into the normal 8.0
I'm just thinking of putting your community build as my dvb server down stairs (better CPU) -
New builds are uploading. Enjoyworks woopieee

Ok, I see the problem now. New build coming soonawesome , thanks

I'm using AMD Kabini processor with the radeon gpu. It should work I think. I have Chrome and Spotify, just when I click Emulators with remote nothing happens, please fix
-
when I try start "emulators" doesn't work, i can change to retroarch it works.
not with emulationstation never -
i got controller to work finally, won't work unless u manually bind keys pushing the controller. after that got the asound.conf working so now sound in games great. seems like I can browse retroarch and use the A button on controller to run games as well which rocks. but this is a little complicated for the kids. will emulationstation be fixed in next build escalade

20170516 fixed build uploadedstill got same error

Sounds like you messed up your config, delete /storage/.config/retroarch/retroarch.cfg and try again. And I'm not sure what you mean about bluetooth I never heard about pressing any button to pair, mine works fine through LibreELEC menu, or through bluetoothctl CLI utility.strange, yeah most kodi systems I've seen the paired devices will just show up
np , will give that a shot b4 I do anything else. -
Sounds odd, the 360 controller should be auto detected in retroarch AFAIK. I can recommend a DS4 which I have configured and tested.I don't archive older builds as I use my gdrive which is space limited.
yeah ahh nothing to do with the mapping or the actual controller , all to do with bluetooth in libreelec picking up (searching) for bluetooth devices. my bluetooth dongle doesn't have a button on it to start searching devices. So had all of this plugged in . You can imagine what my desk looekd like eventualyl with all these things connected , cables everywhere , just to get it working. *scratch head in madness*.

the enter key on keyboard stopped being the 'select' button in the menu after i plugged in my cordless rumblepad 2 and selected 'make all controllers work in menu".
was freakin weird. not one button in the retroarch menu'ing selected a god damn menu/sub menu item. I piss farted around with the rumblepad for about a day, then gave up. plugged the mouse in and enabled mouse in menu. after this, i could click on menu items and go into them but had to use the keyboard left/right to go across the top tabs. got into a game and nuthin worked on controller. even tho it picked it's name up and all the button's were correct. lol
