you are not storing the img file in the update folder. If you check the update folder after updating, it will be empty.
During reboot, the img gets decompressed, & I assume it overwrites older & changed files. I don't think it takes up very much more space.
I keep updating, & I haven't noticed any loss of space.
If you are really worried, just run Libreelec from a larger sd or usb. Although there might be a noticeable difference in speed compared to installing on nand
android app?
If you are not sure whether you have s905 0r s905x then you might have the wrong device tree.
just remember to use the correct device tree
Updated from 8.1.9 to 8.1.10 on Bqeel X9T and it's extremely slow.
Videos themselves work just fine once they start, but navigating anywhere in the UI itself is a real pain.
logging in via SSH and looking either performance with top or the log, nothing special happening.
Any idea what could be the cause?
try downgrading, to see if it's still slow.

Are you copying LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.0.2.tar to the update folder?
The other thing, might be wrong about this, but in the Openelec configuration, is there is a check for updates?

I wouldn't like to comment on that product.
I took my H96 Pro apart, well broke the top cover off. There isn't a fuse in there.
The only way, is to take it apart & look, if it doesn't work, you have nothing to lose.
Is there a way to add an option in the shutdown menu ? I installed LibreELEC to my SD Card and I want to add "reboot to internal storage" in the shutdown menu to boot to android automatically without unplugging the sd card. I'm using amber skin

Tried with earlier version and with .10rc, the problem for EPG not showing is due to the box not being time synchronized.

Is the time zone setting under system set correctly?
If you think it's that version, try using an earlier version, to see if the same problem exists.
Search for remote.conf or remote conf starting from scratch
Unless there is something special about this box, you download the correct img.gz file, use rufus to burn to usb stick, then copy the correct device tree to the usb, then reboot the box holding the reset button.
