Is it safe to update from kszaq build to this one? Since kszaq doesn't develop new builds i might be using this build....
Do not update, use a different usb/microsd card

I only need "yes" or "no"

yes
so its not like youre trolling right? this topic is most up to date eventhough version may imply differently
I am not trolling, as I remember, alf1 started the pre alpha builds, then adamg continued, as I said, the numbers confused me.
It doesn't really matter, try them, but they are both pre alpha, so expect problems.
Then how to make sense of the version numbers...?
Since this version is [8.90.4] LibreELEC 9.0 Alpha for S905/S912 devices
And the other topic is [8.90.11a] LibreELEC 9.x for S912
yeah, it confused me as well.
So this is more recent then this topic..?
yes, but you must read [8.90.4] LibreELEC 9.0 Alpha for S905/S912 devices to2-devices/?pageNo=97 post
with these builds, you need to configure your remote. Although there is a thread which might have the files for your remote.
LE9.0 remote configs ir-keytable Amlogic devices
my advice is to try this on a separate usb drive first.
Is the release posted in the OP, the mos recent libre elec for Minix U9-H?
this is the most recent pre alpha Leia build, this is not the latest stable build.
I have my Synology nas, setup to use NFS. I use Advanced wake on LAN addon. Mind you, the NAS still takes a couple of minutes to be ready for streaming. There is a setting somewhere in the Libreelec settings, to wake up lan on use.
Read this carefully
Basically, create the image on a microsd card or usb
because I used version 8.90.11a
I like this version, but 8.90.11a is not supported and I switched to 8.90.4
on 8.90.4 problems with the remote control
I think Pelican, wasn't actually asking why you were using 8.9.40, he was just saying, these are pre alpha versions, stick with a stable version.
But if you really want to try out 8.9.40, then you either have to try to create your own or wait for someone else with the same box, (whatever that is) to create the files, then you can copy them over.
I'm not sure if this, remote conf is any good for you. I use it for my 650. But I think I used the same one for my 350 in the past.
The other thing,is have you tried the Learn process from the Box remote to a button on the 350.
There are Leia community builds, LibreELEC Krypton/Leia/Agile build for Odroid C2, Rock64, WeTek Hub, WeTek Play2
So, not necessarily stable
I didn't know there was a manual, perhaps the wetek forums would help
there are further links in the link above
But, my advice, is install to usb or microsd card, before installing to internal. IF you can on the wetek, I don't have one
Usually, you just use the Libreelec tool to create the image
My advice would be to try Libreelec running from a usb, IF your htc supports booting from usb.
Then, if you like it, install to the internal drive. Or, buy a separate device.
So, go to the downloads page & from the direct downloads drop down select your device. You then use the tool to create a Libreelc bootable media, (I use rufus)
With the bootable media, inserted into you device, you have to select where you want to install Libreelec, my advice is install to a different usb stick. Careful you don't install to the internal hard drive.
I know that these are pre alpha builds, what's your point then?
I know also that backups are good -> I always do it and therefore nothing is 'lost'
Usb stick a bad advice since most of amlogic boxes don't even boot from usb. Please don't be my teacher, I just tell the community what happens and there is a change in dtb which causes trouble which don't exist till 8.90.4, that's all, peace.
I was going to respond, but hey, life is too short, peace.
You should have read up about this, before you installed. Besides, these are Pre Alpha builds,
Anyway, you would have made a backup of your old build, or installed to a separate usb stick beforehand.
I have a Beelink MiniIII, after running is successfully from sd card, I took the plunge, aware of the risks, & just ran installtointernal Didn't use a nand dtb
It's still working, but I didn't notice any difference in speed
I don't know, but could you add the extra remote to the /storage/.config/rc_keymaps.
then edit
/storage/.config/rc_maps.cfg to add the other remote as well?
looks like someone has given a better answer,
One suggesting
Can you keep remote list on first topic?
Its easily to users to find their remote instead to keep always asking for remote file
Good, idea, to have a list that anyone can update, & perhaps a repo? so anyone can upload remote files. Rather than one person having to maintain it.
