You could try the coreelec Leia builds, but try to a different usb to start with, when you create the image, there is a folder with device trees, apparently, some of these will support some remotes out of the box.
My advice is use the 8.95.3 build, there is a problem with the latest Release CoreELEC 8.95.3 release · CoreELEC/CoreELEC · GitHub
But do bear in mind, the way the remote is enabled, is different, it doesn't use remote conf.
Also, if the remote doesn't work, there is a repository for various remotes,
LibreELEC 9.0.x Remote files - Remote Controllers - CoreELEC Forums
If you do decide the try coreelec, you might want to post more questions there
Hi, I have just seen that you now have it working
-
Now I put it in storage\.config and rebooted… But it is still not working
Then all I can suggest is youread this Create remote.conf from scratch
-
I have this blue remote for the T95Z Plus and I put it in the root folder but it does not work.
Is this for LibreELEC-S912.arm-8.2xxx?
You need to put it in \storage\config I can't see that from your picture. I use coreftp lite to copy files

Go to the movie/tv folder, select source as none, that will clean it out. then change back to correct source.
yes I know it's a pain, but this is what I have had to do since first using Kodi Jarvis
-
Before doing the backup, I browse to the backup folder, perhaps you put it in a different one in storage?
Hopefully whatever backup you restore it will be fine
-
don't forget to save the backup to a different location, before you create a new image.

LibreELEC/System/Create system & Kodi backup
browse to backup folder on storage & start
Mine starts straight away & takes about 5 mins

It's difficult to see from that what exactly you are doing.
click on pictures, you should see the usb device, then add pictures, & browse to your pictures folder.
for movies, go down to videos, + videos, then browse to your usb,, root/media/usb then select type of content, ie movies, & let it scan, then in the main windows click on Movies to see the movies scanned into your library

So what path? through the kodi interface, over the network from a windows pc?
-
How are you trying to access the files? through the kodi interface? root/media/usb? or some other way?
-
So all I have to do is a simple drag and drop on to my MicroSD card to get this configuration file to work?
yes, into the correct location, then reboot
-
Then, again not a solution, install both operating systems to two different usb's & pull out the one you don't want to use.
I didn't notice any speed difference when after running Libre from a usb, then installed to internal sata on my nuc.

I did find this How to install Windows 10 from USB with UEFI support | Windows Central which creates a eufi bootable stick, but whether this will mean that windows will boot using eufi, I don't know.
I have used Yumi, & Universal Boot installer, mainly used for recovery & linux not sure if anything there will help
YUMI - Multiboot USB Creator | USB Pen Drive Linux
just found this EFI Dual Boot Windows 10 / LibreELEC on Intel NUC (Goal=rEFInd)
something else to read Dual Boot : OpenELEC/LibreELEC + Windows 10? | HiFiVision.com

Thanks for the info. But, if you are going to run Libreelec only, & the internal tuner doesn't work, why not get another box & use an external tuner?
Have you tried setting up the internal tuner using crazycat drivers?

The online update, MIGHT go to the update folder. In fact that is where you copy the tar update file to do update manually.
Check the folders in storage, You can do a clean up, by using the addon kcleaner. Also, perhaps you need to remove some unused addons.
